This small B&B is a wonderful, historical place to escape from the cities and truly experience Italian hospitality. Giorgio and Elisabetta are wonderful hosts, and even though they speak limited English, their care for their guests shines through in every gesture, meal and the home itself - From welcome espresso and juice, Grappa and homemade Limoncello in the evening and...

La Peve has an excellent location overlooking a great Tuscan landscape. We were given a very warm welcome by the hosts who are extremely helpful and generous. The place is nicely decorated and the room is spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is the best we've had in Italy. Our host insisted that we pack the unfinished food...

We stayed at La Pieve di Sant'Andrea for 5 days. 5 fantastic days. Giorgio, owner of the place was extremely helpful. Every day we recived home made, tasty, variety breakfast prepared by his wife Elisabeth - there is really slight possibility that you can finish everything but you can always take rest of the food for take away. If you...

If I could rate La Pieve di Sant' Andrea 6 stars- I would. Just 6km from Lucca, from the moment we drove up the driveway and gazed up and saw Goirgio coming down to greet us, I fell in love with La Pieve! Set high up off the regional road, the views are beautiful and peaceful. The various terraces of...

This is a pretty B&B, with lovely food and atmosphere, with very clean amenities and generous, delicious breakfasts. We were disappointed with the cigarette smell that wafted up from the caretakers quarters below, which was partially disguised with strong air fresheners, if you are allergic or sensitive to cigarette smoke, this is not the place for you. We needed to...

We had a delightful evening at La Pieve di Sant'Andrea after driving from Milan our first day back in Italy. This bed and breakfast is in an historical home and once served as an abbey. Lucca is ten minutes away. Giorgio and Elizabeta were excellent hosts and served a delicious breakfast the next morning. Being the guests of an Italian...

The place is very nice, clean, and beautifully decorated. The most distinguishing feature is the cordiality and amazing service. We regret not staying longer, so we'll definitively return. Thank you Giorgio for welcoming us so warmly. Alan and Maricel

The restoration of this historical home and church was impressive. The owners were so welcoming and kind. The food was a treat each day with such a personal touch. We loved the furnishings and antiques in the home. It was a perfect location for driving to Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio, or Carrara. Thank you Georgio, Elizabeta and Daniele for your gracious...

We needed a good GPS to find this marvelous place and fortunately arrived on time (around 8 PM) because you can't arrive too late. We had a great time with the owners, Giorgio, Elizabeta and Daniele, who made us a part of their family for one night. The rooms are unique in this historic place and very comfortable even when...

This is the reason people choose B&Bs over hotels. High on a hill, just 10 minutes from Lucca, this 13th century church (the living accommodations are actually in the reconstructed nunnery) is owned, operated and meticulously run by a wonderful family -- father, mother, son and his wife -- who remind us why Americans love Italy and Italians. We were...
