Room 15 .... tucked away at the top of the property.. There is a nice garden area where you can sit in covered section. Yes, restaurant can be cramped if it is full (seats 20) bu haven't encountered that problem. Hot shower more available than previously.. Situated on outskirts of town. There are several nice country roads to walk on to see the countryside. Don't see children usually, but seems to me it would be fine. Staff is courteous, helpful.. Breakfast is very sufficient.
Kijjungu Hill hotel is a well situated hotel within Hoima town which gives you a good view of Kijjungu at large. Its pleasant and has clean and neat rooms with water heater provision, big bathroom as well as breakfast in bed provision in the morning. The staff are polite and responsive in a timely manner. There's secure packing at the hotel. It was a great choice for the weekend travels!
The hotel was a little hard to find as there is no direction written on the big signpost when you enter Hoima Town. The single room costs 80,000 Ush (approx. 25 USD). The restaurant is very small and there was no space when I arrived and wanted to have dinner around 8:30pm, but room service is available with extra 2,000 Ush to the cost of food. Wifi is free and works in the hotel rooms. The bathroom is clean and there's hot water. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my padlock on my luggage and the reception lady called a guy and within 5 minutes, he broke it so I could open my luggage. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hoima.
For Hoima, this is a great hotel at a good price - around $30USD per night. The free breakfast is good, the staff is wonderful, the rooms were clean. Mosquito nets, fans, and tvs in every room. Free wifi.
I spent a night at this hotel on my visit to Hoima town. I have been putting off my trip to this town because i was worried about the accommodation facilities. All my worries were put to rest once i checked into the Kijungu Hill Hotel. I got an en-suite room with a double bed, bath tub, hot water, safe deposit box, wardrobe satellite television, drinking water and breakfast for just Uganda shillings 70,000/=, or ($30) wow that was good value for money. The location is quite and the staff are kind and hospitable, I had a wonderful night and peaceful sleep. On arrival the power was load shed but i was amazed that the standby generator started right away. I would to stay at this hotel again the next time I am in Hoima.
