Sorry more negatives than positives. Firstly them cancelling one of our nights the night before our check in was so unprofessional and they booked us in another lodge that was MILES away from our tour route. Finally arrived for our one night stay & were given a warm welcome & views outstanding but the lodges were filthy. It felt like they were using the ‘ eco environment ’ as an excuse not to clean. The bottles of water they provided had flies in and the lids were rusty. Our bedding stunk of someone else’s sweat, the bathroom smell was even worse. The geckos were cute in the lodges but there was poo everywhere, some looked like it had been there a very long time. The second lodge in our party was just as bad, old cobwebs / dead spiders, bats, and an array of insects. Our final straw was when we opened the bed up it was covered in flies. The positives were, friendly & welcoming staff & amazing views. Sorry we won’t be returning. …

Dear Dipti, we are truly sorry that you had a bad experience - this was certainly not our intention. We had clearly communicated to your tour operator, who chose to put you in a different place and didn't bring you to us. So unfortunately, they cancelled on you and not us. We were actually ready for you and in the end were made to pay for your room elsewhere by your tour operator. As much as we try to keep the lodge clean, it is impossible to guarantee that it has no gecko poo and flies in the rooms - they are, as you said, part of nature and part of us. The rooms are well cleaned and the sheets are washed before every clients arrives and so far we never had a complaint. We ensure that the drinking water we provide for free is safe for drinking and that there are no flies inside. The rusty bottle top has been immediately replaced and we thank you for pointing this out. We cannot take responsibility for any other lodge that you have visited and were equally disappointed with as you had mentioned it in the review above. Please accept our sincerest apologies for having given you a bad feeling - we wish we could make it up to you!

Beautiful spot and great food. Perfect stopover between QENP and MFNP. The staff is very attentive but not pushing. Nice cottages with a private terrace that's comes with great views over Lake Albert. The beer is cold, they even offer craft beer. The wine selection is good too

We stayed overnight on way from Murchison Falls to Kibale and very glad we did. Lovely views from every room and area. The pool was just great after hot day travelling. The staff, Danston and Rachel very helpful and attentive and the food just great. Would highly recommend this lodge to any travellers.

The wall-to-wall lake view thru large glass windows without curtains was breath-taking. Seeing the sun rise and gently warm the room reminded me of Bob Marley's "3 little birds" song. The nights were utterly quiet, the staff were very attentive and considerate and a chat with management (Danstan) about the the history of the resorts name was very insightful. He offered very sound tips on which corners of the escarpment and lake to visit, what to wear and who to ask assistance from in the villages below. The experience is worth another visit!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It's a very chilled out place and can get very quiet :). we had a very welcomed stay and definitely will be going back. the fishing village was completely different experience to see. there is a forest walk not too far from the lodge. the lights on the lake at night are absolutely breathtaking and something a camera doesn't capture.

The view is amazing, the food delicious and the staff very friendly. It’s very relaxed and quiet as they just have about 6 rooms at the moment. It’s nice to visit the salt mines and please come with an egg ;-). We forgot. There is also a waterfall nearby, it’s nice for mountain biking as well. On a clear day you have can see the blue Congo mountains and at night all the lights on the shore. I also love that it is fully eco. Purified water in bottles at no extra charge, also in your room and everything runs on solar. Please visit ♥️.
