It was the best place in Provence. the wheat field in front of it; the vineyard behind it; the lavender field nearby. It was all fantastic and it was a happy time. JIM was so kind, and the cats welcomed us. We had dinner together on the first night. The vegetarian menu started with salads such as raw pumpkin and dry tomato, the main menu was Cuscus and vegetable roast, and the dessert was lavender custard. Two kinds of white wine and cheese were also very delicious. I can't forget the dinner we had together looking at the wheat field. It was such a quiet, quiet, happy time. There were countless stars in the sky at night. I sat on the bench until it was almost midnight and felt Provence. During the day, Provence went up to 38 degrees and it was very hot, but the evening was cool. The room on the second floor was the same as the picture, and the bathroom and shower are separated. It's clean, comfortable, and comfortable It's very nice to have Verdong Gorge, Lac de Sainte-Croix, and Moustiers in a half-hour's drive.

This B&B is the perfect place to come and unwind; a beautiful slice of Provence countryside, with plenty of amazing sights to explore nearby - such as Europe’s largest gorge (AMAZING!). Hosted by Jim - very cool guy - will prepare a delicious organic, vegan/vegetarian breakfast each morning, and his (rescued) cats will always be around for some love & affection. Highly recommended & we will certainly return again!

Found this place on Happy Cow. As a vegetarien it’s not easy to find good places around. The B&B was booked so we stayed at the hotel in the village but the nice owner Jim cooked dinner for us and his guests one evening. The food was great, healthy and good tasting. We had a great time! Thank you, Jim!

This is a gorgeous secluded home away from home in rural France. Jim and Claudia felt more like old friends we were visiting by the time of our departure! The accommodations here are clean and quiet in a lovely old farmhouse that nice and cool at night. We opted for the dinner each night and were not disappointed. Food was fresh, tasty and local. You could even see the grapes that provided our wine from the gorgeous outdoor supper table. Queen Mia the cat provided lively entertainment as we dined and enjoyed conversation with our hosts. This place is exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. In fact, we're saving up now to return in 2016. Best hotel experience we have ever had. Jim and Claudia are the definition of "above and beyond" hosts. Can't wait to see our friends again!

We were so lucky to spend a week at La Vudele during our travels through France. Jim and Claudia are incredible hosts, they make you feel welcome and are always open for a chat. The food that Claudia prepares is AMAZING, the wine that Jim pairs with the meals is always top notch. Claudia is also a yoga teacher and gives great relaxing classes under the blue sky of the Provence and next to the lavender fields. After a week at La Vudele we moved onward (as previously planned) to another Gite, only to cut our trip at the other place short and return back to La Vudele, where we were welcome with open arms as if we were old friends. It is seldom that you find a place like this, a real gem. The rooms are beautiful, airy and clean. There are many hiking opportunities in the area, as well as incredibly clear lakes perfect for swimming on a hot summer day. The two amazing hosts put so much work and so much love into making La Vudele a place to come home to. Thank you, Claudia and Jim! We'll be back (probably sooner than you think!).
