I visited this hotel on business for an overnight stay. Lovely little town. Received a very warm welcome when I arrived. The room was excellent. Large with comfy bed and very clean. The breakfast was as good as I have had on my travels. The bar was full of regulars who were very friendly. Had a good time. Will definitely...

I visit the area quite often and the Victoria is a great place to stay. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, well appointed and suited our needs perfectly. A perfect small village hotel.

We stayed in a cottage and used the Victoria for drinks and evening meals. There was a warm welcome from the landlady and local customers. The food was like good home cooked dinners. The salad was surprisingly good and so was the gammon. Also, the pub was useful for tourist information, and free wi fi.

We were booked into this hotel about eight years ago and decided on arrival we could not stay there. It was awful. However having read here it had been taken over and...
