Room is basic and clean, and the place has a certain charm for me. Old style villa with big garden around. The owner is so friendly and nice; he helped us out enormously when I lost my phone and thought for sure that it'd be gone forever. There's a karaoke bar on one side of the house and they have live music at weekends, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the other end, and make sure to have earplugs.
We stayed two nights for 750P/night. Not having felt the bliss of man-made cold air in a while, we splurged for the aircon family room. Other options only had two single beds because why would you want a bed for two people unless you were a married couple with kids. My heathen-butt would not be sleeping in a different bed than the love of my life. The pension is in an old Spanish style house. It’s a little creepy but kinda cool. The guy who runs the place was really nice and helped us out with a phone call and some recommendations. The attached restaurant was closed when we were there but it looked nice. One downside was that alcohol wasn’t allowed in the room. We totally broke that rule! We’re so bad butt! I think Dona Nela’s is a good option in Roxas (it was certainly better than Rovers).…
