We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2016. A great site for walking and for the water taxis. We had a problem with our hired motorhome whilst here and the staff could not have been more helpful and we were very grateful to them for all they did. Well worth a visit.

We stayed here for one night in our campervan (Feb 11th). This campsite is ideally located for walking the Abel Tasman Coastal Track as it is only a short walk to the start of this long distance path. Our hook-up plot was amongst mature trees and was very private. It was a delight to see various species of birds at... More

We booked the King Studio Cabin at Old Macs for two nights - at either end of our Abel Tasman tramp. The studio exceeded expectations - it had all the facilities as described and was bigger than expected! The spa bath was heavenly and perfect after a five day tramp. The studio was clean and had literally everything we needed.... More

Nice little spot surrounded by farm animals. As long as you're ok with that then there's no other downsides to staying here. Great location for your Abel Tasman adventures. 10 minute walk to beach / start of park. Reasonably priced. Basic rooms but clean. (We stayed in the huts). Also decent bathrooms with powerful showers. You pay for Internet but... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here. This was my base camp for my Abel Tasmin adventures. I have been on the top and bottom and many places around the area but this is the spot that earned my review. I would highly recommend my family, friends or fellow travelers to stay here.

We've been travelling to Old Macs now for our annual family and friends Xmas holiday and have always enjoyed the friendly relaxed and old fashioned feel of this camp ground, kids bike, swim in the river, visit the animals and generally just enjoy being kids! The sites are huge well set out, facilities are good and provide you with all... More

Right on the edge of Abel Tasman national park this is a very good option to stay. Slightly overpriced for rather basic facilities however. Showers are hot and free, camping places spacious and free to choose and on the board of a river. Kitchen well equipped.

We stayed here on the recommendation of the information centre (iSite) in Motueka. We wanted to be close to walks and away from the maddening crowds (although in mid-December the upper end of the South Island was like a ghost town). As we were touring, we only stayed one night. We had a fully self contained camper van and the... More

Stayed here in December for two nights with a camper van on a powered site because of our visit too Abel Tasman national park. It is a bit overpriced in my opinion. The holiday park is middle in the bush with a beautiful creek and near the entrance off the national park. Facilities are OK and clean but way too... More
