I stayed for 3 nights in one of the self-contained lodges with two friends, using the lodge as our base for tramping through the Abel Tasman. Firstly, the accommodation-it was beautiful, meticulously clean and environmentally conscious (e.g. composting food waste and recycling). The bed was comfortable and had an electric blanket (which was useful for a winter stay). The kitchenette... More

Hi Sarah B, Thanks so much for the lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. You picked a great time to visit as while it is winter, it is cold in the mornings and evenings but a great temperature for walking during the day plus our spa pool and sauna come in handy to warm you up... We had an absolutely amazing 2 night stay in the lodge - and we wished it could have been longer! Joce and Scott offered us a very warm welcome and even discovered that they used to live very close to us in England! The room was perfect with a single and king bed included electric blankets which were very much... More

When you're on holiday, it's the people you meet along the way that you remember the most. The hosts of Abel Tasman Marahau Lodge are those sort of people. Scott and Joce seem to be on a mission to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and memorable. They take it personally – in a good way! They know the area well... More

Thanks Pukunui39 for taking the rime to do such a lovely review. Very much appreciated. The little town of Marahau is small enough that you get a great service from all of the businesses, but big enough to offer a wide range of activities. Glad the naughty Pukeko birds were a highlight. Thanks so much and hope to see you... More

I am spending 2 nights in April at the lodge. The place was quiet. Great Wi-Fi. The Chalet was large. Have a single bed and a queen / king size bed. The European breakfast was great and tasty. The owner was great and provide info what kind of option we have on the trail for the Abel Tasman National Park.... More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the lodge. Our room (room 7) was spotlessly clean and had a lovely view off the veranda at the back. The beds were super comfy and we slept perfectly every night. However the best part of the stay has to be Joce and Scott. We had limited time to discover Abel Tasman,... More

Thanks Sam M We pleased you enjoyed Room 7 - which is the last room we are going to renovate (to be done this winter). It's like the other rooms through - quiet, great for getting a good sleep and with lovely views of the gardens and National Park. The Fat Tui burger is a real treat - an undiscovered... More

We stayed three nights and had a lovely spacious room with a great patio. The room was really good value for money and Scott and Joce were extremely friendly and helpful. There are lots of lovely walks and activities to do in the area and the water taxis are a great way of getting around. We had a brilliant time!

We loved it so much we booked a second night. The room was perfect, the breakfast was delicious. They prepared a delicious lunch for our day of hiking. It was one of the best rooms we had during our vacation in New Zealand. I have included a picture of our European Breakfast! First class stay!
