Spotlessly clean and perfectly presented, Marahua Lodge is a little piece of heaven on the doorstep of Abel Tasman National Park. Hosts, Jocelyn and Scott, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. They have a wealth of knowledge about the local area and can book everything for you from their office. Our family of 4 were incredibly well looked... More

Loved our stay at the lodge especially the spa after a long day at the National Park. The two owners were very happy to help us with suggestions of where to go and what to do around the area. Our room was so clean and tidy it did feel like home. I recommend it 100%.

This was our second winter getaway at this stylish, warm and friendly lodge that's just steps from the start of the Abel Tasman track (open all year, but so pristine and crowd-free in the off-season). We were rewarded with Joce and Scott's trademark hospitality, remarkable attention to detail and gorgeously refurbished guest rooms - a real treat. We were also... More

Abel Tasman Marahau Lodge is the perfect place to stay for travelling around the Abel Tasman area. Two friends and me stayed in a two-bed lodge for 3 nights to use as a base for doing part of the abel tasman costal walk. We arrived after hours, and the hosts made it easy for us to collect our keys, with... More

We had 2 nights here and used it as a base to walk from Anchorage back to Marahau on our full day here. We were made very wlelocome and the rooms were clean and well equipped. There is a good communal kitchen so were able to cook our own food. A lovely garden and a lovely atmosphere made this a... More

I stayed for 3 nights in one of the self-contained lodges with two friends, using the lodge as our base for tramping through the Abel Tasman. Firstly, the accommodation-it was beautiful, meticulously clean and environmentally conscious (e.g. composting food waste and recycling). The bed was comfortable and had an electric blanket (which was useful for a winter stay). The kitchenette... More

Hi Sarah B, Thanks so much for the lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. You picked a great time to visit as while it is winter, it is cold in the mornings and evenings but a great temperature for walking during the day plus our spa pool and sauna come in handy to warm you up... Joce and Scott offered us a very warm welcome and even discovered that they used to live very close to us in England! When you're on holiday, it's the people you meet along the way that you remember the most. The hosts of Abel Tasman Marahau Lodge are those sort of people. Scott and Joce seem to be on a mission to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and memorable. They take it personally – in a good way! They know the area well... More

Thanks Pukunui39 for taking the rime to do such a lovely review. Very much appreciated. The little town of Marahau is small enough that you get a great service from all of the businesses, but big enough to offer a wide range of activities. Glad the naughty Pukeko birds were a highlight. I am spending 2 nights in April at the lodge. The place was quiet. Great Wi-Fi. The Chalet was large. Have a single bed and a queen / king size bed. The European breakfast was great and tasty.
