That way our first rafting tour but definitely not our last! The place is very good. Our room was with a very beautiful view to the Neretva River. The rafting tour was after breakfast. They take up with an approx 45 min ride with a van to the place where the tour starts. It takes approx 4 hours with some stop. We can climb up to a cliff and jump to the 10 degrees water. it was all fun! Our leader Momo was very kind and helpful. We would like to say thank you again for everything, with his professional all was good and perfect. The lunch and the dinner was also buffet like the breakfast. All the food were tasty and more than enough. All is included in the tour/ room price, just need to pay for coffee and beer. :) Hope to see You next year also!!!
I went here with my school on a trip in June and the whole generation (about 80 people) booked the house complex. The rooms itself were very small, with no storagre area and the top ones had short ceiling and we couldnt stand up. Beds in the bottom rooms were bunk beds and on the upper floor there were only matresses. There was a common space for socializing with a tiny bar at the bottom of the building, where we had our meals and socialized via various board games. Also there were seperate bathrooms and showers for men and women, the water was drinkable and there was a second smaller bathroom in the middle of the rooms, all bathrooms were down the stairs and outside under the building. They offer rafting tours that are worth of going because you see the Neretva river canyon that is only accesible with a raft. And all of the food served was very delicious and fresh. All in all it was a pleasant experience.…
This was one hell of a ride. First time I was during the summer, and then I was told that I must check it out also during the winter, and yeah... completely different experience. I went there with few friends, and we were the only group on that day so we had the whole place only for ourselves :) I can't decide if Neretva canyon is more beautiful during the summer or during the winter.
I was searching for some cheap place to stay inbetween Sarajevo and Mostar and somehow I manage to stumble upon this ...rafting hostel ... :) It was really interesting experience. This is the first time that I was staying in this kind of hostel which has sport activities. I was in a hurry so I couldn't try their adventures, but I would really like to come back :)
This trip turned out to be a huge disappointement, there were numerous problems with the accomodation, with the staff and also with the rafting it self. Tha accomodation simply doesn't fit 21st century stadards. There was only one shower for approx. 20 people, and in our room there was only 2 plugs for five people! Not to menation that one of the plugs was occupied by a lamp. A reading lamp in fact, which meant the only light source in the room! Even the windows were so small, that the place was totally dark even at day time. In the community/eating area they were consantly burning (probably) wet wood, and cause of that there was constantly a terrible smoke there. The dinner, breakfast and lunch was all late at least on an hour, The whole thing was very poorly organised. They didn't serve water only super sweet soft drinks. Some of the staff members were helpful, but most of them were rude, didn't speak English at all, and didn't try to communicate anyway, and also tried to trick us! They tooke us to the rafting with buses from the 70s. I was literally feared to death when the drive was going pretty fast on the narrow mountain road. People were smoking inside the bus!!! And there was also a terrible smell of gasoline. The rafting itself was pretty short and slow, and not thrilling at all. We've stop many times for no reason, waited for other, and there were very few rafts, and even those were really easy. Before the second night they transfared us to another accomodation, they said, a group with around 100 people arrived and they want to stay together - poor organising again. They told us that there is an other place around 10 mins from there, just like this and we will stay there. Firstly, it was about 30 mins from there, and that place was TERRIBLE! First they showed us a building which was built during Tito's rule, and wasn't renovated since that! The place was dirty, disgusting, in the 'kitchen' staff members were rolling cigarettes right next to the food. We said we won't except this so show us another place. Than they took us to a bungalow, which wasn't renovated for decades, not to mention the shower looked like the ones in GULAG camp. So we said we won't except this either, than they showed us a nice, newly renovated bungalow, but it had only place for 4 people, and there were 5 of us. so it was also unexceptable. They didn't have any other options so we asked for our money back and came home. During the whole process there was a little kid who was helpful and translated, but his bos was a rude, negligant, dirty looking man.…
This is a unique mountain hostel. Located directly on the river with pristine picturesque mountains everywhere you look. They have a tour of tito's bunker, a hiking trip, and of course rafting. We rafting for several hours and even swam along the way. The staff is super friendly and we highly recommend this property! Great Value! A+++
Perect location, next to river Neretva. Warm ambient, nice decor, chosen with great care.. object is only 6-7 years old. Staff is very welcoming. Lot of additional things to do... And lot of delicious traditional food. :)
I've stayed in Dzajica Buk Rooms couple of times and it was a memorable experience. The staff is awesome, rooms are clean, and finally, and most importantly, the food is superb! Love the host, Kasim, his friendly approach and vision regarding this place. I would definitely recommend this hostel, for everybody that would like to bond with the nature!
