The sockets in the room hang out the walls with open wires around! The radiator in the bathroom is rusty and leaks rusty water. The shower sprays water all around the bathroom with no shower curtain. The heating cannot be turned off (according to the maid). The curtains too small to cover windows. No non-smoking parts of the restaurant.

There is no staff in the wellness you can ask for assistance. Parts of wellness out of function. The same waiter works from early in the morning till late at night. There is very few staff, and they mostly appear uneducated (addressing guests with TI, etc).

Conference rooms decent, food more than decent.

From what I can tell by reading previous reviews, they've improved a lot. The rooms are nice enough and the bed is comfortable. That's a few basic but very important boxes ticked. The WiFi is OK, so that's another important box ticked. But, if you prefer your restaurant and hotel lobby smoke free and you don't eat meat, this isn't the place to come (only one veggie mains option - which came with seafood in it...).

I did not expect to find such a good hotel in this relatively small town. It was good and my group enjoyed our stay, nice rooms, very friendly receptionists, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is well kept and clean. - I am a tour guide from Israel, a great lover of BIH

Everything was perfect. Room was so clean and spacious with free complimentary water, coffee and tea. View from the balcony provides amazing perspective on Neretva River in it's full beauty. Food is also delicious with various local products.

It is the worest idea to book here for group. Every thing you have to pay (a lot) for it. For example swimming pool you pay €7.5 per day. Jakuzzy is also very expensive €25 per hour. No one speaks English or any other languge, only Bosnian.

Setting in the garden (chairs) or at the loopy you have to pay for a drink.

Breakfast is ok, but not good.

Lunch and dinner are just a crap, food is not cooked well, and extremely little. And same course every day until we complained.

People smoke every where specially the restaurant, and any close place and no one preventing them.

Apartments are not very clean. And the kitchen is just an empty room, there is nothing even a tap.

Staff are so so so rude and improfissional and also the supervisor.

Does NOT deserve 4 stars at all.

The only good thing is the view and the building design.

Garden City Hotel Konjic is a brand new 4* hotel on the South bank of the river Neretva, about 10 minutes by car from the centre of Konjic itself. We stayed there for a week-end of rafting, ten pin bowling and dining with friends. The hotel is brand new, the rooms well furnished and tastefully appointed. Ours had comfortable twin beds, a great heating system (it was cold throughout the hotel), plasma screen tv and a fantastic shower. The hotel ambience was a bit chilly, the large, open spaces in the foyer and restaurant not heated enough, but the staff were all pleasant and always on hand to help or advise. The food was disappointing, no a la carte just a set menu and this was very average overall, while the wine was very expensive for Bosnia. The breakfast was better, with a good choice of fresh fruit and cereals, with lots of coffee or tea on hand too. The hotel has great facilities, with sauna, pool, massage, bowling, rafting and all are reasonably inexpensive. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, I would strongly recommend you stay here when you are visiting the lovely town of Konjic.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, rooms clean and spacious enough. The food is perfect. The hotel has many entertainment facilities. To the town of Konjic walks come for 10-15 minutes. The hotel can arrange for rafting Neretva in the period from spring to autumn.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and has plenty of amenities including outdoor areas, playground, etc. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was fairly spacious but had only one queen and one single bed. We had booked for a family of 5. They were also not very generous with the pillows, towels, etc. Breakfast was included and it was fine but nothing special. I guess we would stay here again.

We just returned from Garden City Hotel, and this was not our fist time stay in the hotel. Last time we stayed in this hotel as a family, was 2 years ago, and I have to say that things changed.... not to the better unfortunately. We have been visiting Garden City from the very opening and have been very happy with overall service, ambience and overall feel of the hotel. It was recommended frequently to our friends, family and business partners. However, this visit was so disappointing. First reception staff was rather uninformed and unable to follow through the requests we had. When we arrived the room we got for two persons and we are five ( two adults and three children) also the room was for disabled persons. It was impossible for us to use this room as it only had one double bed. After some additional negotiation with the reception desk, we received superior suite. Suite was spacious but bide in the toilet was out of function and balcony was dirty from birds nests so we where unable to use it. We have shared this information with the reception desk and asked them for assistance as well as preparation of beds for our girls. Needless to say that none of the requested things have been done when we returned. We decided to use Garden City as we had rafting trip on Neretva and it was our idea to use pool, blowing facility and billiard for our entertainment following the rafting. During our previous visits all of these services have been used by our kids and during one visit even movie screening was organized for our children by the staff! What a treat and experience that was! This time the facility was closed and we and the kids have been very disappointed. On Sunday, we could not use the outside pool as it was opened for external visitors, and by the time we finished breakfast the pool area was packed with people so we could not find the shade or a chair. Overall rather disappointing experience. We are not sure what went wrong but this is not the same hotel we stayed in before.
