Just returned from an idyllic 8 day stay at the BodyHoliday hotel. We went with friends on their recommendation and were truly delighted with everything the hotel had to offer . Our first holiday during this covid period, we felt extremely safe, the hygiene is impeccable, our temperatures were checked every morning by a nurse, all staff adhering to the rules to make every guest feel safe. An ideal resort for the fitness fans with an abundance of activities from dawn till dusk , or like us who just wanted a relaxing break enjoying all the wonderful spa treatments everyday completely complimentary! AMAZING! The food is excellent, healthy and delicious, even the buffet was all served to us individually to avoid cross contamination. The staff are exceptionally attentive , nothing is too much trouble , our special thanks go to the beach guys and girls . The restaurant staff are so accommodating. Our thanks to Everyone for making our holiday such an enjoyable and safe one ! The hospitality of the St.Lucians is second to none , we should all learn from their kindness. We will be back …can’t wait ! THANKYOU 😎

It's a long way to go from UK, but it is definitely worth it. The place is beautiful, the facilities excellent - but the best thing about it is the staff - they were all so friendly, helpful, happy, knowledgeable, interested, fun, etc, etc I can't praise them highly enough - they made the holiday.

I stayed here for a week and had a great experience. This was my first. That said, I'm not spending too much time on the plusses because, as I read the other reviews here, I realised I'd end up repeating all the great stuff already mentioned. Instead, I'll run down a list of "watch-out"s and minuses. Plusses - 1) the staff! Simply incredible. They made the difference. Even the activities' folks were so helpful, they took a personal interest in helping you learn or improve. 2) Great covid protocols, I never felt unsafe even for a minute 3) Activities, etc. - everything amazing as mentioned by the gazillion other reviews. 4) Safe env, safe waters, quiet secluded beach, no seaweed!! Prompt drinks' service. 5) Great place for solo travellers. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea of a "communal table". By the time I left the resort, I'd made so many mates! 6) The Indian teacher who does Yoga is incredible! So nice to finally get someone who teaches yoga the authentic way. Minuses: 1) Food availability: very limited, outside of the meal hours. The "cafe" was the only one open, the pizza place wasn't. And even the cafe had very limited menu. It closes at 4pm, so for those of us returning from our massage or other booked activities have to make do with the very bland "evening cream tea" with a limited set of options from 4-6p. Nothing to eat between 6-7pm which is a shame, and challenging for those who've been busy all day with activities and have to wait till 7-730p for dinner. I was a victim of that for 2 days. 2) Food itself - generic and bland mainstream western stuff. Other than a night of local Caribbean specialities, most of it was generic. That said, it was good quality and so nice to go to a place that actually knows how to brew a good cup of tea! 3) The schedule builder on the website - it's outdated. I added a bunch of classes and showed up for those classes only to find out it wasn't there (and it is a pain walking in that heat all the way up to the wellness centre to find out a class isn't there). I was told later by the reception that the online schedule builder is still in development phase. Why then, make it public and advertise it on your webpage?! In short, plan your activities only when it's displayed on the black board. 4) Reservations at the Windows and Tao restaurants - it's not easy... you do it the old school way by going to or phoning the front desk. That said, they were very sweet in accommodating last minute requests. 5) The massages were amazing ,although rescheduling them was a pain. (They kind of randomly allot slots to you, sometimes at times that aren't practical enough). The body massages and wraps were great, the facials weren't that impressive. Feel free to avoid the 15 min consultations - I found them ineffective as they only lasted for 10 minutes and I didn't learn anything new, other than them being vehicles to promote their paid treatments. All in all, whilst it might seem like my list of minuses is more detailed than the list of plusses, please know it's only because I'd be repeating all the good things already mentioned in other reviews. Overall, great resort, one of a kind and I am so looking to be back. The wifi was very strong in the room and hotel reception. I didn't need to use it though, it was amazing how I went through a week without having any internet/mobile withdrawal symptoms! ;-) Well done BodyHoliday!

The BodyHoliday is an excellent resort as has been documented many times on this site. On my most recent visit there was a small outbreak of Covid on the resort. There were several false positive lateral flow tests and several positive PCR tests resulting in people having to self isolate for up to 12 -14 days. My concern is that the resort never informed the guests of this small outbreak. The resort continued to run classes indoors and host evenings in the small and busy piano bar which is an environment conducive to the spread of the virus. Had I been unlucky to have contracted the virus and not been informed of the outbreak I would be extremely angry and would have considered legal action. I took the decision not to attend indoor classes or the piano bar but only because other guests informed me of the outbreak. I feel the General Manager should have been entirely open about the situation thus allowing guests to make informed decisions about the activities in which they chose to participate.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your overall assessment of BodyHoliday as an excellent resort and as we are committed to constant improvement, we are taking your comments on board fully. Please allow us to share what we have done to further strengthen our COVID-19 protocols. We are committed to managing a safe bubble for our guests and team members, with supporting measures including daily screening by the on-resort nurse, COVID-19 testing of team members (we have also achieved a vaccination rate in our team that now exceeds 83%) and a thorough review and adaptation of our activities program to offer as many classes as possible in outdoor locations. In cases where an indoor location cannot be avoided, we are reinforcing capacity limits to support adequate distancing, heightening sanitization regimes, and offering additional classes where possible to ensure our guests can freely access the activities of their choice. Throughout the resort, guests are reminded through signage to observe physical distancing, exercise proper hand hygiene and to wear masks for interactions with anyone outside their travelling party when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Public safety is of paramount importance to us, and we fully recognize the responsibilities associated to achieve this. The BodyHoliday team takes particular care to operate by regimented protocols that allow the enjoyment of the guests’ experience in the highest standards of safety. We remain in constant communication and assessment by the local Ministry of Health and are happy to report that we consistently exceed the requirements set out by the national protocols. Thank you for choosing to stay at BodyHoliday Saint Lucia and I do hope that we have the chance to welcome you back in the future.

My wife and I attended the BodyHoliday resort for our honeymoon and we could not have selected a better place to celebrate our marriage. The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the spa treatments were great, and the meals were fantastic. They also offered a wide variety of activities both on and off-site that were very enjoyable and kept us just the right level of busy during our stay. We learned how to SCUBA (thanks Rusty!) and sail a mini-catamaran (thanks Shane!), and went on a sunset cruise to enjoy the beautiful views of St. Lucia during the evening. Overall, it was an incredible experience and we cannot wait to go back when we get the chance.
