After a last minute change of location we were put in The lodge hotel. 35 of our friends and family (would suggest 30 max) stayed in the lodge which was great for large groups wanting to all be in one location with kitchen facilities and not too bothered about it not being 5* standard. We had a great time, clean,...

Unlocked and self check in but we expected this . The directions suggest it is attached to the old vicarage .....however it is a separate building in another street ! The room was adequate but my son of 16 was not pleased to see mould spots on his duvet and pasty crumbs in bedside drawer ! After a group of...

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. The water was cold, the room was dirty and as for trying to get through to the house keeper you had no chance! If we had not been so tired then we would have driven home. On opening the bedside table we found crumbs from someone else's food eeek! The toiled...

This cost us £190 for 2 NIGHTS!!!!!! The biggest ripoff ever! I don't know how it is allowed to call itself a Hotel! Boutique- ha ha ha!!!! No directions as to how to get to the car park - had to ring the housekeeper at 11.30pm, who struggled to help as she had only been there a week, and didn't...

Have a look at my photos, i will be reporting them for the mould and electrical safety and asking for my money back. DO NOT STAY...

On arrival there was no one about, having rung the 'Housekeepers' number and Booking.com to find out what to do eventually the HK turned up, showed us to a room we hadn't booked, then said we couldn't stay in that one as there was no hot water. Showed us to a 2nd room that had a leaking ceiling, eventually a...

Arrived to our room with our 6 month old baby and found the bedding and towels to be damp to the touch. The ceiling had a significant damp patch obviously following a leak. Uninhabitable room for a family, let alone a baby. Do not go here! Vey disappointed after a long drive!

After having Read the reviews I nearly canceled my stay at the Lodge hotel, I'm glad I didn't as I've just had a lovely weekend all. This hotel is fine, cheap no frills but it was £65 in peak season so I wasn't expecting 5 star luxury. Walking through the hotel first impressions - I found it strange it was...
