Filth, mould, dirt, cobwebs, no mattress protectors. This is by far the worst so called lodgings i have ever stayed in, Im not exaggerating when I say it is filth and should be condemned. Have a look at my photos, i will be reporting them for the mould and electrical safety and asking for my money back. DO NOT STAY... More

Simple room and amenities shocking be well advised not to stay here everything about this place is sub standard in a big way. We wouldn't have stayed but we had pre paid and there was nobody there to complain to or to try and get a refund, Of all the travelling we have done this is by far the worst... More

On arrival there was no one about, having rung the 'Housekeepers' number and Booking.com to find out what to do eventually the HK turned up, showed us to a room we hadn't booked, then said we couldn't stay in that one as there was no hot water. Showed us to a 2nd room that had a leaking ceiling, eventually a... More

1st room not what we booked & no hot water, 2nd room damp ceiling dripping, 3rd room bed broken. Slept on mattress on floor. Filthy, does no one clean here!? nail clipping & hair in bed, crusty snot stains on pillow, dirty bed sheets & towels, fag end in drawer, main light didn't work, no parking although reserved. General grime... More

Arrived to our room with our 6 month old baby and found the bedding and towels to be damp to the touch. The ceiling had a significant damp patch obviously following a leak. Uninhabitable room for a family, let alone a baby. Do not go here! Vey disappointed after a long drive!

After having Read the reviews I nearly canceled my stay at the Lodge hotel, I'm glad I didn't as I've just had a lovely weekend all. This hotel is fine, cheap no frills but it was £65 in peak season so I wasn't expecting 5 star luxury. Walking through the hotel first impressions - I found it strange it was... More

We booked this hotel a week before we were due to stay on 1 July 2016. They rang me 3 days prior to our stay to say that the Hotel was fully booked and we could not stay there despite the fact that we got a confirmed reservation. The only option they offered us was another hotel 45 Minutes Drive... More

Im going to start with the good points. Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel as a last minute break after he had a road accident breaking his leg and wrist, as a little cheer up trip. We were really happy with how close to Salcombe this was and how easy to find the hotel also was. Bad points: Once... More

When we first arrived, and found the rather tight to manoeuvre car park, the main door (at back of hotel) was unlocked so no need to use the four digit passcode given!, our room 4 allocated for us wasn't ready as beds unmade, debris left from previous occupiers, etc. but phone call to nice, friendly housekeeper informed us that room... A terrible experience. There was no key awaiting us. None of the people listed as contact phone numbers were helpful or could do anything to assist. When we walked into the building anyway (showing that it wasn't secure) it was freezing and after again ringing around people listed as contacts we realised there was no chance of getting heating turned...
