On a warm summer evening it was good to dine outside. The venue is pleasant and relaxing. The service was good. Food, however, was average rather than great. With a little more finesse this place could be spectacular so all in all a somewhat disappointing evening.

This hotel is easily accessible from the M4 and easy to find on the one way system in Caerleon. Drive past the hotel and turn left to access the hotel car park. Plenty of spaces. Nice garden and patio area. Check was easy with a very pleasant Receptionist. Our room was in the main building on the 1st floor. There... More

I had not had lunch here previously but one visit and I am sold. The food is incredible and so fresh and the two course lunchtime menu is such good value. The service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Definitely revisiting on a regular basis and will certainly recommend this venue.

Went for a cycle ride from Tredegar to Caerleon. Stopped at the Priory. A really lovely spot and a lovely hotel restaurant. A relaxing break after our cycle ride. It has a relaxing atmosphere. In fact I have promised to take my wife for lunch at the weekend.

Lovely hotel. Warm and friendly staff. Comfortable and well appointed room. Exellent dinner. Loved seeing all the prepared food laid out in a display cabinet for you to choose and then all cooked fresh.

Great location, with a very good car park. Checking in is stress free. The rooms are very well appointed and furnished sympathetically to compliment the building. The hotel is blessed with a fine bar, stocked with an excellent offer of real ales (4), continental lager's and excellent wine list. The restaurant is with out doubt the hub of the hotel.... More

Was looking forward to a unique experience and was not disappointed. Very quiet neighborhood. Room was large with a king bed and looked newly renovated. Checking was smooth and staff friendly. At first we thought parking would be a issue but there are two lots and one is gated We ate dinner in a small (very small) bar. Food was... More

Whilst on business, I stayed here for one night and had Room number 1. What a beautiful room indeed. Although I arrived late and did not have a meal, talking to the people around the bar, they all seem to talk highlight of food there too. Breakfast was reasonable but most of all I enjoyed the setting, the layout and... More

I visited the Priory for Sunday lunch with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the well cooked and extremely well proportioned meal. It was great value for money with courteous and attentive staff who added to the ambience of the venue.

Visited for Sunday lunch recently with friends. I was a regular here many years ago when I worked in Caerleon. Lovely old building and immaculate gardens. Within one minute of the amphitheatre, baths and museum. Sunday roast lunch was good and at a reasonable price - £14.95 for two courses. Staff pleasant and attentive. Obviously lots of locals here and... More
