Good fish and chips. Usual pub fare but what sets the Ship apart is the friendly welcome and value for money. We didn't stay here but think they are undergoing a modernisation of the bedrooms from the conversations we overheard. Pity about the sign behind the bar......!

Visited this lovely pub whilst on holiday in the bill. Lovely home cooked food and very friendly owners . A real gem of a local pub with well kept ales and great atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend the pub to anyone. Family friendly welcome

Very friendly staff. Good beer. The hotel is in need of complete renovation, the stair carpet is black with wear. Our room was dark and dingy, but clean. Breakfast inedible probably cooked with the other guests breakfast then left waiting for us. Bacon like cardboard, eggs pale and unappealing. Black pudding was hard and couldn't be sliced into. All deep fried I think. Toast was nice.

We had a lovely meal at this charming restaurant. Both had fish and chips. Generous plateful of delicious food. All home cooked. Reasonably priced and good beer/wine. Staff friendly and service fast. They all made a fuss of our mini labradoodle! Would definitely return if we were staying longer in the area.

Received a fabulous warm welcome at the Ship Inn. The landlord and lady were very friendly. Food is fresh and homecooked and very good value. Huge portions - be warned, you must take your appetite. Dog Friendly venue too. Absolute winner

In a holiday rental cottage just round the corner from The Ship, had been in for a drink one night and decided to try the food later in the week. The staff are lovely and went out of their way to cater for one of us having a gluten intolerance. The food was beautiful - highly recommend the steak pie!! Will be back before we return home!

We booked a week in a cottage over the road from the Ship and from the 1st visit on day 1, Steve and Val were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent, we ate there most nights - home made chips were amazing! Would definitely recommend the Ship.
