The hotel still feels new, and is kept very clean. The rooms are spacious with good working area and lots of natural light with the large windows. The only downside was that I had to turn on all the lights in the room at night to make it bright enough. Breakfast was well presented, and maintained. The only downside is that they plates they provide are thin paper plates, so you need 2 or 3 so they don't bend once you start to put on your food.

We only stayed one night, but I hate hotels with the energy-saving electricity card slots; they want you to put your room key into the slot to activate the room's electricity (but you can put any card into the slot if you want to charge your devices while you are out of the room). Front desk staff were warm and welcoming and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Masks were not required in the lobby, elevator, or hallways; hopefully COVID cleaning protocols were in effect. They had run out of pancake batter mix for my one breakfast, and the alternatives were not appealing; they could use a better selection of cold cereal and some fresh fruit. It's about a 15 minute drive to the airport and you can walk to a 24-hour Meijer market next door.

Traveling thru. Lobby was nice, desk attendant was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, well maintained and had ample amenities. Plenty of space for luggage. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable, actual real scrambled eggs (not frozen or pre made). Sausage, cereals, oatmeal, muffins and bagels, also yogurt. Some fruits would have been welcomed, there were some oranges but not appealing. Only criticism would be the pool area doesn’t go with the rest of hotel! Not maintained well. Floor not cleaned and shower was a rusty mess. We’re there three days and there was a dirty bandage on ground entire time along with other debris but had multiple signs wanting you to return chairs to tables where you found them! The exercise room had good equipment including weights, but had no air circulation so hot and stuffy. There is no sanitizer to use on machines before and after use and in three days the water container was empty! Would stay again!

The Holiday Inn offered up a very Covid safe environment not to mention a comfortable stay. The staff was fantastic and always helpful. The pool is open however you need to make a sudo reservation to utilize it. They have a nice outdoor area with plenty of seating, tables, and a gas fire pit which was nice to sit around during the evening. Due to Covid you are limited to preset bag breakfast but not bad juice muffin and fruit. They have a grocery store about a block away which was nice for grabbing room snacks.

New hotel. Good location. Spacious rooms. Everything was modern and clean. The staff seemed friendly and will to help in any way possible. Housekeeping only left 1 regular coffee in the room so check before you go to bed if you are people that wake up and like to have a cup of caffeine before you leave the room.

Pillows are awful.

We had an overnight stay for a wedding. We couldn’t believe how great this hotel was! Nice, clean, friendly staff, great amenities. There even were bonfire pits! The room was great - loved that it had a Keurig coffee maker, and soft and firm pillows, labeled by embroidery on the pillowcase! What a concept! The breakfast was nice, we really enjoyed the sausage gravy (yum!) Unfortunately the sausage patties were very salty. That is the only complaint that we have! We now have to find an excuse to go back!

While I understand staff is short, that doesn’t give the staff the right to be rude and condescending. The hotel business is still a service business and customers deserve at least mutual respect. When my room was failed to be freshened (I didnt do full service as I wanted to give the hotel a break) the staff was very put out by my request for fresh towels. In addition, The hotel was diirty . Room lacked robust cleaning , halls needed to be wheel vacuumed/swept, things were broken. Really disappointing. I expect better from Holiday Inn.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and airport shuttle. We had a one-week trip planned, flying out of GRR. When I made the reservation, I called the hotel and asked about leaving a car while we were away, airport shuttle, etc. I was given information about the rates for parking in the hotel lot between stays and told that I would pay separately for that service when checking in - not in advance. When we arrived the evening before our flight, we were told that the hotel discontinues this service during the busier season and that they decided four days prior to discontinue parking passes. "Francesca" who was at the front desk and described herself as the General Manager was unsympathetic, unwilling to honor what we were told, and unwilling to assist in locating alternative accommodation/parking. She admitted that we were the third or fourth people with the same issue. Certainly the hotel can change its parking policy, but it should give advance notice to customers who have already booked and are counting on that service. The biggest problem was the hostility of the staff toward any suggestion that the hotel had made a mistake.

If you need a nice, clean and friendly staffed hotel property near the GRR airport then you will not be disappointed in choosing this property. The indoor pool, fitness room and outdoor fire pit are open and available for use. Also near a plentiful amount of shopping and dining establishments.

The way the walk is designed on the right side of the entrance, it's impossible to reach the front door in a wheelchair on the walk. The walk is accessible from the parking spaces but at the building it looks like a door but once you get to the building it's actually a window. Because of the landscaping it's impossible to reach the door without backtracking going back to the car, go back out to the parking lot and go through the lot to the front door. It's worse than no ramp at all since you THINK you can get into the building only to find out you can't.Check out the pictures.
Solution: Just pave over the planting bed left of the front door, at least wide enough to allow a wheel chair acess to the front door.

We will be back to see if you are concerned about your handicap customers.

The rest of the visit was great and you would have received a 5 otherwise.
