Honestly it was the best holiday of my life - beautiful secluded beach, comfortable bedroom, delicious food & drink including breakfast, and some of the most caring and attentive staff (including the manager Pishai). From car hire, airport transfer, room service, extra towels - nothing was a problem. Also a very reasonable gym is on site too. Thank you so so much we will be back in 2021
This was our first stay at Lipa Lodge and after a week hanging out with seasoned guests who had been frequenting this paradise for over 30 years, they begged us not to let anyone into their secret! However, we felt it was only right to the owner and the wonderful staff at this fantastic place to post a glowing review. Traditional bungalows and modern apartments are beautifully equipped and furnished and set amongst lush gardens with tropical birds, a beautiful infinity pool and stunning private beach front. The sea is warm, calm and safe and the evening views promise beautiful romantic and sublime sunsets. Beach front dining is available for everyone to enjoy, and the food is incredible with an extensive menu. This is not a spot for those seeking nightlife, and is tucked away off a beaten track, making it the ideal location for a truly relaxing, romantic and unforgettable experience. Should you decide to leave the lodge, there are mopeds available on site for hire, making it easy to explore the traditional local area and island, including local temples, colourful markets, amazing street food, sunset cafes, and other beautiful areas of interest. Highly recommended, beautiful place ............ just don't tell anyone!! LOL. Miche & Kev…
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, Pan, Pishai, Yang, Kong and Tony! We stayed for a week in a fantastic suit with a huge terrace, a few feet from the ocean. The food is excellent, we tried a great number of dishes. Great meny! Extra special were their super nice lobster. We attended a cooking class wich was really cool. Thanks for the birthday surprice cake 😃 We will definitely come back! We truly recommend this piece of heaven on earth! ❤️
We decided to take two days off and go on a tour around the samui island to visit the hotels, resorts and boutique hotels that we short listed as possible next week's location. Visual inspection was required since the reviews and ratings are so subjective The review og Lipa Lodge was all over the place in the ratings..... Positive : secluded, quiet, great beach, individual villas, nice restaurant patio, shaded front lawn by the beach..... Negative : not updated probably since it was built decades ago, rooms resemble low end motels that are clean but decore is so so old. Furniture - plastic chairs and lounge really? The main restaurant and bar, cute but so old and not updated at all. Swimming pool in the photos make it look amazing but nothing more than an over sized 10 person lounge pool. Tennis courts... One of our key interests.... Suggestion to remove it from the listing - surface is terrible, back fence is maybe 2 metres from the base line - ok courts for kids to hack around for fun. We totally agree with the negative reports, this is not a 4 nor 5 star place more like 2.5-3 based strictly on the visual and interaction with the front desk staff. …
This location on Koh Samui is stunningly beautiful. The lodge has several detached cabin type bungalows that look on to a lush green garden which gives way to a stunning beach only 2/3meters away. Every night lanterns light up the area giving it a romantic glow. Watching the sunset from my balcony every evening was a sensory treat! The infinity pool is just beautiful. It is a quiet destination, peaceful and calm. The loudest noises are the birds at sunrise and sunset and the waves gently lapping against the beach. Not a place for party people. You can walk along the beach and find a few bars/ resorts where you can eat or drink. Our favorite was Think Retro cafe and Chaba bar both at the end of the beach towards the Raja Ferry Pier. As food in Lipa Lodge was expensive, we didn’t eat here but at the excellent and cheaper roadside diners all a 10 minute walk from the Lodge. Having said that Pichi the manager, Pan the waiter and the room cleaning staff were just wonderful. Warm, welcoming and always on hand to order a taxi, organize a massage (highly recommended) or provide information. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lipa Lodge.…
Stayed here for a few days with my parents over the Christmas period and it found it the perfect place to stay. We had two beach front rooms which were incredible, an amazing breakfast spread overlooking the sea, lovely hospitable staff and great facilities. I used the gym during my stay as well as having a full body Thai massage. It was located in a great place along the beach ranging from 5-20 minutes to other great beach bars and restaurants along the front.
Ich versuche in englisch zu bewerten, in der Hoffnung die Verantwortlichen verstehen, was ich kritisiere: We was a little bit disappointed by this resort. The beach and the Sea are very good, the Room was great enough and every time clean. The Balcony in Thai-Style is comfortable. But many other things are not okay. The footpaths to the Reception und to the Rooms are very bumpy an very slippery. The water from the Shower on the swimmingpool not flow, only drop by drop. The Breakfast is tasteless and very monotonously. The Jam is an indefinable, sweet tasteless mixture. We believe, when they are not able to serve a tasteful breakfast, than hey are also not able to serve a good dinner. That was the reason, that we go out for dinner in the evening in an other restaurant. Another reason is, that the meals and beverages are very expensive. The Cocktails are good, but served in a plastic-glass, and very expensive. You have to pay 50% more than in a comparable resort. At the Reception we were received from Mr. Pichai. He was very friendly and helpful. When he was present, the personnel for the service is attentive. When he was not present, we believe that they forget, what they have to do. The Lipa Lodge Resort is one of the first resort on the west side of Kog Samui. But we have the appearance, that they never make a Renovation since the founding.…
Stayed here for 3 days as a solo traveler in September - if you're looking for quiet and serene then this is the place for you. The grounds/property was actually nicer than in the photos so I was pleasantly surprised. The staff and management was really sweet and accommodating. The private beach is clean, I didn't see any trash and felt like I had the whole place to myself. There is a 24/hr convenience mart down the street which was perfect for grabbing a few necessities but there isn't much around (which is exactly what I was looking for). The food at the hotel was good, just a bit pricey. Walked down the beach to eat dinner at Think Retro Cafe which was hands down best food I had in Thailand. My only gripe was the breakfast - maybe bc i went during the off season but the breakfast was just choice of eggs, 1 piece of toast and a few pieces of fruit, with a piece of bacon and sausage. Overall though I highly recommend staying here! Side note - even though it was the 'rainy season' it only rained for about 15 minutes the whole time I was there.…
We are staying in the north of Koh Samui but friends recently stayed at the lodge and said we should visit.... we had a drink and then were invited to use the pool and facilities free of charge. We then had a lovely lunch and wander down the beautiful beach. The area is very different than most of samui and the lipa lodge is a little haven in the middle of it. Lovely place.
A lovely hotel, kind and helpful staff…so happy we stayed here. A welcome juice upon a check-in and the fruit plate in the room was a lovely surprise. The hotel was almost empty when we arrived, so we enjoyed a special VIP treatment. We had a sea faced room and it was clean and spacious enough. The A/C worked well. The room was cleaned daily. There was a mini fridge and TV in the room. We rented a motorbike from the hotel and they arranged a drop off car to the airport. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet vacation.
