We stayed in Kavos for 10 days; the place is great. The sea is just amazing with clear and clean water, just a little bit salty 😅 the pool is well maintained with sun-beds and umbrellas all around. The location is quite strategic, 15 km from Chania and about 1.30/2h by car from the most beautiful beaches of the Cretan west coast. We have had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner at their restaurant and all times it has been flawless. The waiters are super nice to customers and the food is great. A special mention for Kosmas, who was "our" favorite waiter, always kind, polite and fast. We booked a room for 2, that was a small apartment with a kitchenette and a patio with a seaview. Our offer also included the transfer to and from the airport, a car and a 25-minutes relaxing massage; all very useful services for customers. We highly recommend staying at this hotel, as it will be a pleasant and relaxing experience.

This hotel is second to none, it is amazing. From the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The chef George is worldclass amazing food that we did not want to eat anywhere else. The manager is so helpful and the staff always friendly and inviting. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Seaviews out of this world. All going back next year. Thank you for an amazing time you guys.

This hotel was the best hotel i’ve ever stayed at. The staff was very nice, the room service was very nice, and i loved the outside area. At the hotel there were both a very nice pool and ocean, right beside each other. The food there was great and tasty. Something i really liked was that every tuesday and thursday they had a little special event where they at tuesdays had bbq night with grilling and stuff and on Thursdays they had this music night where there was a band performing famous songs made into jazz. It was so nice vibes because i could see that everyone enjoyed their moment while having the most delicious dinner. There was no need to go to the public beach because the facilities was so nice at Kavos. It felt private even though there was many people visiting and there was available sunbeds wich was very good. Everything was exellent! I will come back here, i already miss it so much

We stayed in one of the suites (suite 1, the honeymoon suite). Immaculately clean, large, stunning big infinity pool that looks over the sea. There’s literally no fault I can find. The main hotel looked good too and the shared pool and private beach never seemed busy. The food (lunch and dinner) in the hotel restaurant is absolutely great, although the service can be a little eccentric at times (I think they were short staffed on that day). Neither the suite nor the restaurant are cheap. For the area, they’re both at the top end, but the quality is amazing so I’d say very good value for money.

Really lovely stay at Kavos. Very pleasant place to spend time relaxing by the pool or the sea. Breakfast is great. And the staff are very professional. There is nothing not to like about staying here. We have been 3 times now and will certainly return next year.

Firstly the positive points as there were many! 1. The staff are friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a wonderful time. They were very kind and accommodating. All of them! 2. The location is fantastic, with the mountains in the distance and the peace and tranquility. It has to be seen to be believed 3. Pick up and drop off airport rides from Dimitri - they were seamless and the bus was clean and comfortable 4. Vegan cheese for breakfast! very grateful for this. We always found something to eat at breakfast - although it was mainly eggs and meat and animal cheese - there were sometimes cooked tomatoes and mushrooms and potatoes. Cereal and non-dairy milk 5. Wonderful bread and Cretan style potatoes and pasta! and the vegetable risotto was FANTASTIC! so good we ate it twice! 6. Excellent red wine and white rum 7. Raki :-) 8. The housekeeping staff deserve high praise indeed. Every morning without fail, cheerful and professional and thorough - thank you! 9. The free car hire for the entire week! This was fantastic for little trips into Chania old Venetian Harbour (27mins drive) The negatives and there was only one - on reflection we should have booked a larger room without the 'kitchenette' as the self catering aspect didn't work out well for us. Only one hob worked and it was too strange a set-up for us to enjoy. The 2 nights we did cook (limited on one hob) we had to eat it sitting in bed as it was too cold outside. In summer i'm sure we could have coped great and ate outside. Lesson learned.

Do not book this hotel - UNLESS, you plan to have a most relaxing, memorable holiday :) We had looked at this hotel - liked the photos, enjoyed reading the reviews, and knew that this was the hotel we wanted to stay in, as we needed a home from home, relaxing holiday - and oh boy, this hotel certainly met all our needs. Being met at the airport by Kostas (driver) who is friendly, knowledgeable and is able to recommend restaurants and places to visit all within the few minutes of driving from the airport to the hotel. Even though we arrived late evening the hotel looked amazing and better than what we imagined. Panagiotis, on reception, welcomed us and after a few moments we were checked in and taken to our room (6), which was clean, comfortable - larger than the photos portray, a patio and balcony overlooking the Aegean - lovely. Even after a few days, we still could not believe that we were finally here, The hotel is kept to a high standard - with housekeeping, garden/pool staff keeping everything to a high standard each day. Even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay, we could still find plenty of tables available for breakfast and dinner. Loungers around the pool and / or near the water's edge were plentiful and always available. Breakfast has everything you need - with subtle changes each day (try everything). A bit of advice regarding lunch, because portion sizes are so good, if for example, you order the Kavos Club Sandwich, (our favourite) there is enough for two people to share. Although we only enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant on 3 occasions, BBQ night (Tuesday evenings), Music Night (Thursday evenings) and our last night. The food was excellent, (disappointed we missed out on the chocolate desert though lol) thank you Giorgos (Chef) and his team. A special mention for Katerina / Panagiotis (Reception). Thank you for looking after us so well - (keep practising with making the boat!). To Nortis, Loanna, Kaya, Dimitra, Giannis and the maths genius Maria (bar staff) who certainly looked after us (poolside, restaurant and bar) - the Cocktails were amazing! - We miss you guys already. We felt that you all welcomed us into the Kavos family, even for a few days, it really meant a lot to us. Keep counting down the days, for your well-deserved break and future adventures - not long now guys. We would definitely recommend this hotel with no hesitation at all - hopefully one day we will return.

Why three-stars? Well, 5 Stars for the Rooms and Resort landscape, 1 Star for the Restaurant! The Junior Suite we had (Room 20) was well laid out and and clean, thanks to the great Housekeeping, with a cozy balcony with two large benches to relax on.....but the breakfast and Restaurant, a different story. What is written about it here and elsewhere, it's a miracle that happened for those who find it even remotely creative or of good quality. Apart from that lack of dishes you would even positively raise an eyebrow about, it is the stunning lack of Service that is miraculous.....whether at breakfast (set your own table); at the small, beautiful beach (organise your own drinks, as no one is coming) or dinner (pouring the water from the bottle or even opening the bottle....why if the guest can do it). Having said that, thanks to Maria from the Bar buffet and the clean shaven black haired waiter that were friendly and reactive when you needed something. Thanks for nothing to the ginger-haired moustache clad bearer of uniform whose ego seems to stand in the way of working in a service oriented environment, in this case a waiter (see water bottle at dinner and beach service)! Also positively I would like to mention Kostas and the driver of the Airport Transfer back to Chania Airport, you genuinely rock!

This is our first visit to this fabulous hotel, just what we needed and perfect from start to finish. Well maintained beautiful surroundings. Exceptional friendly staff all whom were very helpful (air con ladies). Food was delicious, well presented and worth every penny 👏 to the chef. The cocktails every night were just full of flavours and pleasant 👏 to the bar tender. The little quaint hotel room with everything you need within a room. The pool side and dinning area have incredible views all day especially to watch the sunset. I am hoping to come back again and would definitely highly recommend to others.
