Great for walking breaks, nestling on the hillside above the legendary plague village of Eyam. Friendly helpful staff, nice food, decent rooms and facilities. Footpaths virtually from the door to the village or out into the wilds to explore. Great value. Definitely recommended.

My 3 sons and I have just had a very enjoyable stay here. The rooms were clean and spacious. The showers and toilets were plentiful and clean. The food was good (I especially enjoyed breakfast) and the staff were very helpful and efficient. The area around the YH was beautiful and had lots of great activities to keep us busy.... More

Loved this YHA, location was great and I lived the building. Showers and toilets all good and very clean. Only downside was the very small self catering Kitchen. It was very difficult to cook if there more than 3 people in the kitchen at a time, and a small area to eat in. However really enjoyed the two nights we... More

Visited YHA Eyam for 2 nights, with a school residential. What a gem!! Rooms are comfortable, plenty of toilets and showers (which you have to share, but that is to be expected in a hostel) the food available was fantastic and plentiful!! The location is stunning.Perfect place to explore the fascinating village of Eyam and the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend... More

We stayed here for a weekend in June as a party of ten for staff adventure training. The rooms are comfortable and warm, although the bunk beds are a bit creaky if you have to get up in the night. The service is friendly and the cooked breakfasts are excellent. A very good hostel.

Stayed here in a private twin room with my partner. Bunk beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also clean with a hot powerful shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We used the kitchen to make a quick brew in the morning and the facilities seemed to be well stocked, although you have to go outside to an outbuilding... More

Stayed with my daughter for two nights. Good base for exploring. Our twin room (bunks) was warm, wc and shower facilities were just across the corridor. Small self catering kitchen (in separate building) was adequate, meals bought at the yha were fine. No unnecessary frills - which is just what we like!

Hi, Thankyou for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found the hostel suitable for your requirements. Well, right at the end the SatNav thingie didn't seem to know quite where we were going but we managed as it was well sign posted. We parked up and then had to walk up a hill and a few steps to the main building. On checking in we learned that we could drive right up to unload. The manor... More

Hi, Thankyou for your review - we are pleased you had such a pleasant stay with us. Sorry about the slight damp smell - we have been unable as yet to find the cause but we have been having trouble with the central heating boiler cutting out so it may be that the room has become excessively cold when unoccupied.... I stayed at this hostel in early December for a weekend away with some walking friends.
