Great pub , great food , well kept Guinness .... what more do you want ! Oh and very pleasant staff ! . After a long walk along the ( long gone ) old railway track and through part of the valley then around the village it was a joy to wander in to this very friendly and traditional pub... More

Called for a few drinks and some well earned chips after a fantastic walk down this lovely valley. The drinks were reasonable but a word of warning, the amount of chips you get easily does two. So don't be greedy.

We are staying near by and came here. We had a nice table and the lady served us was very polite. The food was priced ok with a menu to suit all, tasty food. Then had a game of pool and watched the golf on a big screen. there are plenty of seats outside and swings and climbing frames across... More

Lovely pub after we stopped in a random place with a grumpy hungry pregnant wife. Good choice of food which came out relatively quickly and was clearly fresh. The free wifi helped us get our bearings as there's no phone signal. A decent pit stop on our tour.

When I booked this room for me and my daughter in a "historic Inn" "full of atmosphere" @ £100/night there was nothing to suggest that the place would be shut all day and night every Tuesday! When IU tried to check in there was a note on the locked hotel door for me personally to phone a mobile number to... More

This matter was disputed through PayPal as the customer requested an 80% refund, when presented with all the facts it was concluded to be in our favour and we were completely exonerated. More

We were visiting Llangollen for a wedding and discovered the Glyn Valley Hotel. Very pleasant stay with friendly and accommodating hosts. Extremely helpful when we left behind some baby things. Plentiful, delicious breakfast and ultra clean rooms.

Arrived Friday late afternoon, a Wake was in progress, the lady on reception was very cold and unfriendly, showed us to our room, the twin bedded room was fine, bathroom fine, shower gel provided, small towels, which needed some softener using on them, only 2 sockets behind dresser, which made it very difficult to do hair as mirror was on... I had not been here before and didn't know what to expect having booked for a friend and myself overnight as we were diving in the area. Trip advisor and websites are so important these days! We arrived tired and mucky after a day's travelling and diving, and first impressions of a place are never forgotten and can never be... More

Stopped here for a meal as we were visiting a friend in Glyn ceriog. We were served very quickly and the food we ordered arrived soon as well. The food was ok ,not fantastic but ok . I would eat here again as the staff were very friendly but don't expect anything other than standard tasty pub grub .

We popped in for a couple of drinks after our afternoon walk around the valley and really enoyed ourselves. Everyone was friendly, there was a great log fire, and there was a pool table / sky sports too. Would definitely return if in the area.
