Just got back from lunch at the Duck Inn, the food and service were absolutely first class. We went for the first time in April and will return the next time we are in North Norfolk, we really cannot recommend the Duck Inn highly enough do give it a try.

We had a great wonderful 2 night break in one of the 2 bedrooms last weekend and found the following: * Great friendly and helpful staff who always had a smile and a "Can do attitude" nothing was too much trouble. * Excellent evening meals, which although not fine dining could not be faulted. * Smoked Salmon on Ginger Bread... On our sons recommendation we called in here for Sunday Lunch. As we had not booked, we could see it was extremely busy, so we did not expect them to be able to find us a table. However they cleared a table and seated us very quickly. The menu had plenty of choice and the staff soon took our order.... More

Every course was excellent but special mention must be made of the cheesecake, which was amazing. The service is faultless and the decor and ambience are lovely. If you want a really great meal out head for The Duck Inn.

The food was oustanding especially the desserts. The children's meals are great value and my little ones enjoyed the roasts. The decor was beautiful and I would visit again when in the area. The only thing which made me feel a little uncomfortable was a few looks from the locals possibly like we didn't belong in this particular pub.

The Duck has a great reputation, so we were eager to go. Its food is exemplary. The lunch atmosphere a bit sterile, although it was a dreary wet summers day. The service is cheerful but a bit yokel (NFN?) and we asked for ice to cool a tepid Pinot Grigiot. Altogether 8 out of 10.

I ate here for the second time, last week with my step mother. Again, the food was simply faultless. I had the best ham, egg and chips that I have ever eaten. Succulent ham, two eggs fried in butter and the most wonderful chips. Truly a delight. Then a wonderful ice cream parfait with brandy snap. All absolutely delightful and... More

Had been a while since we had had a meal here and if anything the food and service has got better. It has a great atmosphere and I noticed the staff having a joke with each other demonstrating good team spirit but without affecting the service which was tremendous. We went for Sunday lunch and could not fault the starter... More

Having recently bought a property in Stanhoe, we have eaten at the Duck several times this year. Every meal has been excellent: smoked salmon with gingerbread and Guinea fowl lasagne have been highlights. The fish and chips are also excellent. Service is friendly and efficient. At the end of our meals there we are now on the habit of booking... More
