This beautiful hotel is in a great location for access to the Peak District. The rooms we had (1 family room and 1 double) were spacious, very clean and well equipped. Members of staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choice was good and the cooked breakfast delicious. Would return without hesitation. The local town, Cromford, has a few great... More

We stayed here recently and what a lovely surprise. We booked last minute and had a one night stay. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, nothing to much trouble. Our room was on the first floor very spacious with free tea/coffee and complimentary toiletries. Evening meal was very reasonably priced and plenty of it although not a huge choice... More

We stayed here for 2 nights for a family gathering. When I arrived it was about 10:00 no one greeted me, everywhere was closed and I had to ask the person hiding on reception where I could sit. When the rest of our party arrived back at the hotel it was just after 11 so we thought we'd have a... More

Stayed in this wonderful hotel last night. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our 1st floor bedroom which was tastefully decorated and everything provided that you would need for a stay. Lovely thick white towels and fantastic shower were especially nice. This mornings breakfast was delicious and was served by friendly and efficient staff. Thankyou 🌸

The hotel is dog friendly!! if you want a goodnights sleep then find another hotel. £80 to be woken up is no joke! Woken at 2 am with a dog barking and again at 7am. The location is great, and the building is traditionally stone built with a slated roof, beautiful grounds too!

Stayed at this hotel last week for a wedding. The attention to detail was one of the best I´ve experienced from any hotel staff. They knew my name when I checked in without opening my mouth which was extremely surprising and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very traditional and kept very clean throughout. We stayed in the... More

Location of Hotel perfect up a lane away from the main road. Rooms clean and comfortable with good views all round. Food great with a pleasant lounge to sit in overlooking the garden. Went as a family get together as it was a perfect base for touring the area and will certainly go again.

We attended a wedding reception here - lovely location with beautiful grounds. Food and service at the wedding reception were great and when the lady on the hotel reception couldn't get a taxi to take us the 10 minute drive back to the place we were staying (and she must have tried 20 different taxi companies), she drove us there...
