Oliaros sits in a dreamy corner of Antiparos, with breathtaking views of the island of Despotiko', boasting some superb beaches and ancient ruins. The rooms of the family-run B&B are very clean and tastefully decorated, the grounds are lovely and the owners Vassili and Zafiria make you soon feel at home with their warm and friendly hospitality. Breakfast is served in a beautiful veranda overlooking the sea and is very healthy, with a variety of home made products. There are two lovely beaches at walking distance from the hotel, one organised with chairs and umbrellas, one bar and two excellent restaurants. Vassili and Zafiria are always ready to give tips and suggestions to make the most of the island and its sorroundings. There are also bikes available to cycle around. We had a wonderful time at Oliaros and we would certainly love to return.…
We stayed three nights with Vasilis and Zafeiria in September and can't recommend this place enough. The rooms are clean and modern with great balconies overlooking the sea. The location in Agios Georgios gets you away from the crowds in the city, but is a fairly easy drive to town. The breakfasts were all homemade with fresh squeezed orange juice, pies and other Greek pastries. Vasilis couldn't have been more helpful and patient in telling us about all the sights and making recommendations for restaurants, etc. He even went out of his way to pick up a package for us delivered to the port from Athens. This place is a find!
2nd island on our 11 week Greek Island Hopping tour and could not have booked anywhere better, Oliaros seaeaside lodge is in a wonderful location, peaceful, tranquil and first class accommodation run by a wonderful host Vassillis. We stayed for 8 wonderful nights in May and felt totally spoiled by Vassillis and his team. Great island, great accommodation highly recommended. We will definitely return.
My husband and I stayed at Oliaros in August 2016 on our first vacation with our then 10 week old son. Vassilis and Zafeiria were so warm and welcoming despite some nights where there was a lot of crying from the little guy. We loved the low key island of Antiparos and really loved the location of Oliaros with its beautiful view of Despokito and close proximity to a fantastic beach (the best that we found on the island!). Rooms are simple but large and comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious and served on a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. As others have mentioned, many guests here are repeat guests and one can see why!
This place is a special find, run by a lovely couple (both musicians, we loved hearing piano and flute music floating into the night). Oliaros is like their creative project - and it's excellent. It's in a lovely quiet location on a quiet island, yards from a modest little beach with great swimming. Our room was comfortable and traditional with high ceilings and a private balcony - cool during the day, but we would have loved a fan at night (so we could sleep with the air-con off, with the doors open, listening to the sea!). There is a lovely yoga deck - in fact the place feels almost more like a retreat centre than a hotel. Breakfast was lovely, lots of homemade foods, with freddo espresso available most of the day. Highly recommended.
