Our lodge is located close to a sandy beach in one of the most beautiful corners of the Island, the bay of Despotiko island. Charming seaside lodge on the most beautiful spot on the island, with rooms and maisonettes offering beautiful sea view. Yoga retreats, trekking and healthy nutrition.

We’ve stayed in lots of amazing hotels - from Aman to Four Seasons to the best finds. This is one of the best finds / down to earth, great views, everything you need. Really great and can’t wait to go back.

Oliaros sits in a dreamy corner of Antiparos, with breathtaking views of the island of Despotiko', boasting some superb beaches and ancient ruins. The rooms of the family-run B&B are very clean and tastefully decorated, the grounds are lovely and the owners Vassili and Zafiria make you soon feel at home with their warm and friendly hospitality. Breakfast is served in a beautiful veranda overlooking the sea and is very healthy, with a variety of home made products. There are two lovely beaches at walking distance from the hotel, one organised with chairs and umbrellas, one bar and two excellent restaurants. Vassili and Zafiria are always ready to give tips and suggestions to make the most of the island and its sorroundings. There are also bikes available to cycle around. We had a wonderful time at Oliaros and we would certainly love to return.

We stayed three nights with Vasilis and Zafeiria in September and can't recommend this place enough. The rooms are clean and modern with great balconies overlooking the sea. The location in Agios Georgios gets you away from the crowds in the city, but is a fairly easy drive to town. The breakfasts were all homemade with fresh squeezed orange juice, pies and other Greek pastries. Vasilis couldn't have been more helpful and patient in telling us about all the sights and making recommendations for restaurants, etc. He even went out of his way to pick up a package for us delivered to the port from Athens. This place is a find!

2nd island on our 11 week Greek Island Hopping tour and could not have booked anywhere better, Oliaros seaeaside lodge is in a wonderful location, peaceful, tranquil and first class accommodation run by a wonderful host Vassillis. We stayed for 8 wonderful nights in May and felt totally spoiled by Vassillis and his team. Great island, great accommodation highly recommended. We will definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at Oliaros in August 2016 on our first vacation with our then 10 week old son. Vassilis and Zafeiria were so warm and welcoming despite some nights where there was a lot of crying from the little guy. We loved the low key island of Antiparos and really loved the location of Oliaros with its beautiful view of Despokito and close proximity to a fantastic beach (the best that we found on the island!). Rooms are simple but large and comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious and served on a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. As others have mentioned, many guests here are repeat guests and one can see why!

This place is a special find, run by a lovely couple (both musicians, we loved hearing piano and flute music floating into the night). Oliaros is like their creative project - and it's excellent. It's in a lovely quiet location on a quiet island, yards from a modest little beach with great swimming. Our room was comfortable and traditional with high ceilings and a private balcony - cool during the day, but we would have loved a fan at night (so we could sleep with the air-con off, with the doors open, listening to the sea!). There is a lovely yoga deck - in fact the place feels almost more like a retreat centre than a hotel. Breakfast was lovely, lots of homemade foods, with freddo espresso available most of the day. Highly recommended.

A beautiful corner of a beautiful island. You have a beach five minutes from the hotel - it's little but has spectacular views of Despotiko island and it was nice to just wander down there from the hotel. There is only one other hotel locally so it's not too discovered - there are three local restaurants about 10 minutes walk away. The rooms have character and are comfortable and clean - the only gripe is that the light in the bathroom was dim. The garden is spacious and trees screen you from the cafe but are cut so that you see above them to the sea. The verandas are spacious. There is a large yoga platform to practice on. The breakfasts were unbeatable - there were lots of different elements - Zafira bakes cakes, cookies, savoury treats - it was impossible not to try them all. The owners are funny, charming and very hospitable. They are also talented musicians - on one special night we watched the stars while listening to them play the flute and piano. We wish we could have stayed longer. This is not a party place it's perfect to get away from it all and relax.

That was my second visit at Oliaros in Agios Georgios and although not a newcomer I was still impressed by the tranquility of the place and the amazing view. At the edge of Agios Georgios village, away from the hustle and bustle, the resort offers an amazing view of Despotiko island and is only few steps away from the sandy beach. Well manicured gardens and a wonderful breakfast area complement the tastefully decorated specious bedrooms (with Cocomat mattresses!!) each with a veranda to enjoy a drink of local "tsikoudia" offered by the owner as a welcome gift. At the time of our visit, a group of italian tourists were doing yoga early in the morning. Wi-fi had a good reception and breakfast with home made jams and cakes was superb. Multi lingual Vassilis, the owner, and his partner, Zafeiria, make you feel welcome and immediately at home. They will provide you with every bit of information one needs about the island. Don't miss this place if you plan to visit Agios Georgios and Antiparos. It is for many a well kept secret but between experienced travellers secrets have to be shared!

Oliaros is a quality lodge run by Vassilis and his family. Detail to attention is what characterises this wonderful hideaway. Tasteful rooms with an impressive view over the uninhabited Island of Despotiko. A must for those who want to enjoy the Cyclades in a laid-back way. One is not disturbed by cars or motorbikes at all. Beaches are within walking distance. Excellent beds. Yoga courses are on offer. Last but not least, wind permitting, sea kayaking to discover the impressive coastline of the Saint George bay and Despotiko Island (our prefered passtime). One starts the day with an exquisite homemade breakfast in the shaded courtyard (carrot cake !). What else could one want ? Maybe a small piano and flute performance by Zafeiria and Vassili himself later in the day ! Oliaros is our favorite place to spend the summer holidays in the Cyclades. It is our secret tip we wish to share.

The two musicians, Vasilis and Safiria, who run Oliaros, gave us the best possible service and made us feel so welcome and at home from the first evening. We arrived late at night, and the stunning view of a starlit sky and the incredible peace and quiet is just one of the wonderful memories we brought home from this place. Homemade breakfast served outdoors to classical music and quiet conversation was the lovely start to each day. Close to great beaches and a couple of tavernas, and possibilities for trips around Despotiko island with a local boat with Captain Sargos at the helm, beautiful landscape, and stunning views - Agios Georgios on Antiparos is a wonderful, peaceful, inspiring, beautiful place, and Oliaros an incredible, authentic Greek guesthouse with only eight studios/apartments. No swimming pool, luckily, because that would really detract from the atmosphere of the place - and who needs a pool when the wonderful sea is a few meters away? The standard is great, the service fantastic and we look forward to coming back again!
