We were here for a long weekend when two days in the coronavirus put a stop to all skiing when France shut all ski resorts down, Sad news for all but this hotel went above and beyond in how they treated everyone - we were able to do stunning mountain walks we were fed and indeed provided lunch at no extra cost. They kept their spirits up even though the impact on them must have been very upsetting. 100% top marks this team here are wonderful and the food as always is fabulous. We have been here before and we will return once again when this is over . They make everything easy for you so you can get on and enjoy your ski weekend. Everyone who stays here for the first time says they want to return and those who have been before can't wait to return. Thank you so much to everyone here for looking after us so well.

For me, this was a return to skiing after a 12+ year hiatus. Previously, I'd done DIY and cobbled together all the flights, kit, accommodation and lift pass, etc. and hoped it all came together at the other end. The La Clusaz ski package with half-board lodging at the Aravis was a bit of a gamble based on recommendation from my cousin and I'm glad I took the plunge. Everything was perfectly orchestrated from airport transfer to equipment hire through to piste drop-offs and pick-ups each day and of course food. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and cater for veggies, gluten/lactose/whatever intolerances or allergies. Afternoon tea was an extravaganza on its own and those with allergies or special preferences got their own special versions, given directly to them so no one else could mistakenly eat them! The attention to detail was spot on. Breakfast was nothing too fancy but plentiful and gave you a really good energy boost to power through to lunch on the slopes. Dinner was always amazing and varied, again with special version for those who needed it -- close to Michelin Star presentation and taste. The quantities were more than satisfying for the average Joe. All this together with bottomless carafes of red and white wine (nice-tasting!) and water. I felt very spoilt. The ski equipment hire was very decent and not too shabby. Each evening, you could just pop your boots onto a boot dryer rack, throw your wet/damp gloves hats and whatever into a bucket for drying overnight and prop your named skis up on the racks ready for the next day's outting. The ensuite rooms were quite basic but well equipped with power points, a UK extension lead and hairdryer, towels and toiletries. The only gripe here is that the bathroom was pretty cramped, particularly the shower area but this was minor. My only other first-world-problem gripe is that the dining tables were arranged in such a way that it was often difficult to get into or out of your seat to go for a whizz if you were positioned in the middle of a long train of tables. And the chairs were a little too wide to fit under the tables so that it made sliding them in and out really difficult. Otherwise, I felt totally safe and at home here. Everyone that came was very friendly and no rowdy shenanigans going on at stupid-o'clock. Thoroughly recommended.

This is the second February Half term I've spent at Aravis Lodge with SkiWeekender. I'll definitely try to get back there again. They are extremely accommodating and helpful with equipment and best places to ski/meet up on slopes. The meals are to die for especially the unlimited afternoon tea/cakes!!! Rooms are basic and simple but more than adequate for the break, including hair-dryer and extension plugs. Anything you want, they'll help with

This was our 6th visit and once again we weren't disappointed. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you are well looked after - no question is too difficult and they always try to accommodate any request. My niece has food allergies and we feel completely safe that they have everything covered including her very own special afternoon tea. The food is fantastic every evening and the company is always good with everyone joining in and talking about their days. With the on-site ski & boot hire it means you are ready to be off 8.30am on your first proper day and you can either get the minibus back or use the public buses which are very convenient too. All in all I would say that this place is near perfect - for our family needs anyway. Well done SkiWeekender and everyone involved

Firstly - this was another great short break which I would highly recommend. Previous visit was back in 2013 and I wouldn't hesitate in coming again. Airport transfers - not too much of a wait on arrival but return meant we were at Geneva 3hrs before 21.40 flight (plus then a delay). I just wish I'd been able to stay on the mountain a bit longer, or that Easyjet did a more convenient evening flight back to Luton. Room - simple but everything you could need. However it was roasting, ended up turning the heating off for the duration of our stay, and keeping a window open even at night. The shower cubicle was also a tad 'compact' for the other half who's 6ft! Food - totally amazing. We were actually gutted that David the chef gets a night off. The afternoon tea cakes are sublime. My only comments are that I would have loved proper sized croissants at breakfast (not the mini ones) to go with the best porridge ever. I also feel that the vegetarian evening meal option should also be written up on the chalkboard. Apres ski activities - these were so much fun. The snowshoeing with Cathy was a real workout and the sledging makes you feel like a kid again. Make sure John shows you his tube sledding techniques! Ski hire - Having their own hire equipment and ski tec is the perfect option. Heated boot warmers, and even labels so you know who's stuff is who's has been thought out. The lodge staff - they are all fantastic. Want to make sure you have the best time and happy to answer any questions. As short breaks go, it's the best set up I've experienced!
