This is the perfect hotel for either a weekend getaway or that long deserved relaxing break. I had a wonderful experience at Stella Island Luxury Resort. Every staff member I encountered, from the reception, bar, waiters, porters to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Everyone was extremely welcoming, immaculately clean and always greeted with a smile. Excellent modern 5 STAR hotel and the best nights sleep you could ask for.” The pool was very clean, I had a swim up room which was excellent and designed to style. The food was great and this is what make Stella Island Resort stand out from all other resorts in the area. Most of all a lovely small church to the front for the resort. I can’t wait to return in June..

Returned from a 9 night stay here and just cannot wait to go back. Everything was 10/10. Food and drink choices were brilliant, rooms were really clean and spacious, and staff were incredible friendly and helpful. The entertainment at night was brilliant and it was waitress service so no queueing at the bar. We particularly enjoyed visiting the speciality restaurants, the sushi restaurant was the best! You can also use the water park over the road for free as this is located in the sister hotel.

The service was outstanding from the moment we go there until the moment we left, the staff can not do enough for you. Every request was greeted with a smile and a can do attitude and they were warm and friendly. I felt at home at Stella island from the moment we got there, the grounds are beautiful, this is definitely the nicest hotel we have stayed in we really couldn't fault it. I enjoy fitness and was hoping to do some activities whilst on holiday, I chose not to do a fitness class as it was too hot but they also offered Yoga, Pilates and a separate stretching class. The instructor Aleana was excellent, I did the stretching class every other day as I wanted to improve my flexibility, I was the only one who turned up for the class on some days but she was still happy to work with me. She has a wealth of knowledge and really knew her stuff, I have returned home and due to my experience have started Yoga which has given me great health benefits. They had an indoor and an outdoor gym, both were really nice and had everything you might need. We also had full access to the water slide in Stella Palace which was fun, they also had spa treatments and a heated indoor pool. The range of a la carte restaurants was fantastic, the food was spot on and service was great. They had entertainment every evening which was great, the performers were very talented and did a variety of acts from singing to dancing to acrobatics. I enjoyed walking around the lovely village of Analipsi, as with Stella Island the locals in the shops were very friendly and accommodating. One guy in a gift shop insisted on drinking a shot of Raki with us every time we went in. We have already booked to go back to Stella Island in 2024 to renew out wedding vows as we couldn't think of a nicer place to renew them. There is nothing negative I can say about the place, if you are thinking of booking don't hesitate, you will not regret it!

For context, my husband and I have been privileged to have travelled widely and have stayed in a range of luxury all inclusive, and many adult only, 5* hotels in Turkey, Rhodes, Kos, the Balearics, Canaries, Portugal, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Caribbean (Excellence, Secrets, Royalton, Jumeirah, Rixos, Riu brands and IKOS in Spain and Kos). We typically opt for contemporary, upscale hotels with several a la carte restaurant options and Stella Island met our preferences on these counts. We loved the low rise, contemporary architecture, pleasing décor, stylish furnishings and of course the clean, attractive pool areas and overall picturesque design of the resort. We also enjoyed use of the adequate gym although we did but feel that 8am is late for a hotel gym to open. We booked our stay direct with Stella hotels in 2020 but suffered 2 cancellations as a consequence of Covid restrictions and a third due to a family illness and bereavement. We are beyond grateful to Konstantina who kindly rearranged our reservation several times without penalty. We stayed on an all inclusive basis in a premium pool view room in phase 3 and arranged separate flights with easyJet. The premium pool view suite was spacious and luxuriously equipped and overlooked Makuti bar, with side views towards the Grand Overwater Bungalows and sea. In early or late season, I unequivocally recommend the premium pool view rooms over the more expensive swim ups and bungalows as the pool is too cold to use The premium rooms are also more spacious than the standard overwater bungalows and luxury room categories. Sometimes it’s the small things and attention to detail which enhance a hotel stay and I particularly appreciated the dressing table, chair and mirror to dry and style my hair in comfort instead of having to stand in front of a bathroom mirror as is the case in many hotel suites. Also it is possible to connect your phone via Bluetooth to the TV in order to stream your own playlist so there is no need to pack a portable speaker. In our experience, high quality, all inclusive, adult only hotels (with multiple a la carte dining options) in the Mediterranean/European region are relatively difficult to find, so the attraction and appeal of a breathtakingly beautiful resort like Stella Island is not to be underestimated. However, having stayed in some truly luxurious all inclusive hotels, we are tough guests to impress and whilst the quality of the food, drinks and service at Stella Island is excellent, our overall experience fell a little short of that at the IKOS resorts and other adult only all inclusive hotels we have visited in Turkey, Greece and the Caribbean. Despite the unquestionable aesthetic appeal of the resort and top quality a la carte dining, the restrictions and limitations to the AI package at Stella Island detracted from the 5* experience for which we had paid and so, in our opinion, the considerable expense to stay at Stella Island does not represent good value. Admittedly we have been very spoilt by other holiday experiences but we were disappointed that the AI concept only included 5 a la carte visits per week. As we do not enjoy the experience of buffet style dinners we chose to eat out on the remaining 2 nights. The AI package finishes at 11pm and thereafter drinks are chargeable and on check out day the all inclusive food and drink finishes at 6pm. As our flight home was at 11:30pm we sat in the lobby until our taxi arrived at 9pm sipping water as we had checked out and couldn’t pay cash at the bar or add the drinks cost to our room. Sadly we left the hotel for the airport feeling slightly disgruntled and aggrieved that, for the cost we paid, we couldn’t sit with a final glass of wine and a coffee whilst we waited for our taxi. Entertainment: we would have enjoyed listening to a DJ, saxophonist or pianist in the lobby bar or at Cabana bar around 6-8pm with a pre dinner drink, but it was generally very quiet at this time. On a more positive note we found the evening entertainment at Paraiso to be of a generally high standard and the drinks service was frequent and fast. Lastly an emphatic shout out to Elena and the rest of the team at Speed Rent A Car through whom we rented a car, at a competitive rate, to visit Agios Nikolaos and Elounda and several other villages including Hersonissos old town. We were in touch with Elena several times between our first booking in 2020 and our final arrival and she was always prompt, patient and kind when responding to our queries. If you are considering hiring a car do not hesitate to use Speed (located a few minutes’ walk to the right as you exit the hotel on the beach road). In summary, the a la carte restaurants are excellent, service around the resort is good, the rooms are lovely, the evening entertainment is varied and fun but, for the fussiest of guests like us, the restrictions in the all inclusive package marred our overall experience and seemed at odds with the luxury concept for which the hotel is renown. That said, you can’t help but be captivated by the appealing architectural design, attractive layout of the pools and the beautiful grounds and setting at Stella Island and there is no doubt that the stunning design of the resort is worthy of all the accolades and photographic hype it attracts. Wishing you the happiest of holidays at Stella Island; I am sure you will have an unforgettable time and will leave with many precious memories.

This place is truly amazing, we have been privileged to stay in hotels around the word and this place is way up in my top 5. The room was beautiful (swimup room) with everything you needed. The staff were amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The food was top quality with several specialty restaurants you can book during your stay. I’ve never stayed in an all inclusive hotel that I can say I never got board of the food, it really was great. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. You won’t be disappointed. Thankyou to everyone at the Stella Island for making our holiday a great one.

Lets start by saying the resort & its staff are outstanding! The food & drinks were great and overall i had a fabulous time. However i had a drainage issue in my room that took a total of 3 days to fix. The water is absolutely freezing which i believe is a deterrent for whatever reason. I had an awful time leaving the resort as me and my friend were racially abused by the transfer driver. The resort manager did his best to defuse the situation but was more concerned with hotel image and other customers than the fact we had just been racially abused. The hotel also called ahead and told said driver we were 'drunk' (which was waaaay off the mark as we only had a few drinks and were nowhere near the drunk mark and also I believe that this was the starting of all the drama). I have been in contact with the hotel manager regarding the situation but Mr Georgio Sermos has swept the issues under the rug and has still yet to reply to my second email, so I wouldn't expect much from management at all if a situation arises.

We came to Stella on our honeymoon. 10/10, Bravo, amazing, perfection! We were treated like royalty for the 8 days we stayed. In particular, Sofia, Christos and Anastasia (Anastasia in Kimata) were super stars. My wife required Gluten Free meals and the Stella staff went above and beyond to cater for her needs. Fresh food prepared and cooked for every meal in every restaurant. Especially in Kimata where we had breakfast and lunch most days. The restaurants are amazing. Our favorite was Oceania, the seafood restaurant. Possibly the best we ever had. We loved Parilla and Umami also but in truth you cannot go wrong. Every restaurant was fabulous. You never need to leave the resort. We did after 5 days in case we were missing out and went to Hersonisis but we quickly realised we should have stayed in Stella, so we returned and did not leave again! The beach front has parasailing and jet skis and lots of activities and while they are not part of the resort they are very friendly and a brilliant experience. Laying by the pool and having drinks brought to you every few minutes is amazing. We had a private villa with our own pool and lounge area which was amazing but you can still lie out in the communal areas and swim in any of the pools. It’s absolutely amazing. If there was one tiny issue it was that the drinks are very low in alcohol. This may not have been a bad thing because it is all about chill and relaxing but once or twice we felt like a little bit more of a buzz was needed especially at the live shows. The live shows are really entertaining and very professional but the crowd possibly needed a little more “fuel” to really engage with the performers. It’s completely understandable that the drinks have low alcohol content as when you are lying out in the glorious sunshine, even in October, if you were loading up on booze you might not enjoy your stay. We left Stella feeling relaxed, recharged, energized, madly in love and we will definitely return!

The resort is a bright oasis in an otherwise unremarkable setting. The sea is just a short walk away but you won’t want to sit on the beach. There are a couple of supermarkets with ATMs and many car rental / excursion businesses along the front but not much else. The hotel and rooms are well presented and very well kept. Our (premium swim up) bedroom was large, bright, simple yet stylish with plenty of storage space. The tv channel selection was limited to international news and YouTube. The terrace is large enough for 2 languishing bodies and the sunbeds are comfortable. We arrived towards the end of October and only a very few, braver than us, managed to swim in the unheated water. Staff were customer focused, polite, helpful and friendly. Reasonable buffet selection and the à la carte restaurants (booked in advance via the very helpful hotel app) definitely worth visiting. We enjoyed the Umami (Asian cuisine) the best. The best bar for us was Makuti (service was excellent, thank you!) Things that would have made it even better for us: salted butter and better quality loo paper. However, we would have no hesitation recommending this resort to our friends.

What a lovely resort. Staff are fabulous, food in both the buffet and a la carte restaurants is some of the best I've ever had. I have only 2 complaints, we paid extra for a swim up room which was in the shade all day ( as were many others) and the pools were so cold you couldn't actually swim up to your room!! I would definitely go to this resort again, but would only book a basic room.
