The welcome was not very welcoming, or professional. We booked a standard room for 1 night which was very small and not much room to move around. There was no sound proofing, we could here the flushing toilet next door and you can hear the passing guests and conversations in corridor. There is not enough lighting on the stairs and...

It's four years since my mother and father left France and the last meal we shared with them was at LE Moulin de Mitou, so it was with great excitement that on our first return visit to their house in Bars that we should book a table at their favourite restaurant. Sadly Mum died three years ago but her spirit...

a nice place to descover the area. Nice people, good food, the bed wasn't very good. But for few days its ok. The location was romantic and when its nice weather you can eat at the open space restaurant.

Nice and quiet hotel. We booked the "Gourmet escape for two". Unfortunately we never received the promised welcome drinks. But diner was good, at a pleasant terrace outside. Big room witha very quiet airco!

We stayed here along with other guests for my sister's wedding at the Chateau de Sauveboeuf nearby (worth a visit if you're are staying in the area by the way) The hotel is charming and the food in the restaurant is absolutely wonderful! We had a room in the old house so I don't know how that compares. Rooms are...

We stayed here for 3 nights recently as we wanted to see a lesser visited part of France. Check-in was very simple on arrival and we were escorted to our room and shown how everything worked. While the welcome was not exactly fulsome, it was painless. The room itself was well decorated and very comfortable. The size was probably a...

You know how it is. You decide to take three days to drive South, stopping off in out of the way hotels in pretty villages with good restaurants. And so after a bit of research and reading a few reviews we thought that we would give Moulin de Mitou a go. Now it is not the proprietor's fault that the...

The Moulin De Mitou is very pretty. Lovely rooms and dining room, dining/drinks terrace, pool terrace. Gorgeous roman end swimming pool and we enjoyed our two night stay very much. I would say it was excellent - except for the food. Some of it was good, none was excellent. Some meals were cold when served. The foie gras was tasteless....

Unfortunately when I booked this hotel only standard double rooms were available and I ommitted to check these carefully so we were very disappointed to find ourselves with a really small bedroom. The minimum I expect is a seating area apart from the bed but there was no room to swing a cat never mind sit down! There was also...
