We target local places out of mass turism and this definitely is one of those. Couple of beautiful bungalows located by the hill side, looking like hobbit nests... If you wish to wake up with the nature (birds, gekko's etc.) you find it here. We stayed in one with excellent view down to the garden and the sea. Picked ripe...

First and foremost, I cringe at some of the negative reviews of this remote tropical paradise...This IS supposed to be serene and quiet, and it IS just like it says....We stayed in Kava as well, and found it very comfortable and serene, but you have to know what you are going there for. The views and the tranquility... For those...

Tahiti as a destination for me was all about looking after the soul ... so yes, I booked accommodation in a five-star resort and enjoyed my stay there. But, if I am honest, my time at Vanira Lodge (six nights ... no car) was absolutely paradise. My bungalow (Kava) nestled in the hillside overlooking the lagoon, beautiful gardens, postcard sunsets,...

We stayed at Vanira Lodge for two nights and wow is the property gorgeous. There is very lush landscape and it is nestled up on a hillside for spectacular views. The accommodation was very nice and private. The downside is the rain. The two days we were there it poured down rain which made our stay nice but our tour...

OK, here's the deal - if you want a resort hotel, then book a resort hotel. If however you want to stay in a beautiful hillside location, with sunset views and landscaped gardens, then this is the place. The bungalows themselves (we stayed in Kava) are basic but have everything you need. The bathroom has a shower made of stone,...

Vanira Lodge was something very different from any normal hotel or lodge. If you a 4 or 5 star traveller, this place is not for you! The location of the lodge is amazing! Set high on a hill side with amazing views of the sea! We awoke to breath-taking sunrises over the ocean every morning. (Had no choice but to...

My wife and I stayed here at the start of our honeymoon. I think if you want big luxury hotels you might as well pop out to one of the more suited islands, like Mo’orea which is just a hop away. For Tahiti, we thought somewhere like Vanira lodge (which had been highly recommended in a guidebook) would be ideal....

The list of good things about Viana lodge are short Fantastic, beautiful property and view The bad list is endless It is so dirty, there is mould growing on everything, chicken poo all over your outside deck, and the kitchen is filthy. Check out my photo of the blankets provided. The service is terrible. Our Electricity went out and had...

Vanira lodge was in a beautiful area and the bungalows were exactly like the pictures. We were lucky enough to have almost perfect weather our whole trip, though it does seem to rain much more down in Tahiti-iti. The downside to this place is that the owners are almost non-existent. We would have liked some tips on what to do...
