Wow, its like a tardis. Step inside and it is huge. So impressed. Food is exquisite, room was gorgeous. Service excellent. Waitress was so pleasant. Tastefully decorated, really lovely owner. Will visit again in the future. Couldn't of done more to make our visit so relaxing. Thank you Ian and Helen, we hope you continue to provide the service you...

What a lovely place looks nothing from front but wait till you get inside we stayed in one of the double rooms which included a settee and a really modern bathroom. We ordered a fillet and ribeye steak both cooked to perfection with plenty of fresh veg supplied and the chips were to die for. Breakfast was all locally sourced...

I visited this delightful olde world public house/hotel with family for an evening meal. The menu was exquisite and the food simply delicious. The food was served piping hot on very hot plates. Service was fast and the staff very courteous and friendly. The price of food and drinks was very good and competitive with other establishments in the area....

We are staying nearby for a week. We have already had two evening meals and we will probably manage a third! Really good quality food, well presented. Varied menu. Friendly staff. Starters can be a bit on the large side which can hinder your attempt to finish the main course, but a minor problem! I wish we had a local...

We were lucky to be staying in the village and ate here 3 times, each time the meals were lovely, fresh and tasty. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, service was great and everything like sauces etc we asked for were brought to table nicely and promptly. We loved it and felt very comfortable and welcome here. Better...

There are many good eateries in the Bedale/Leyburn area and for our anniversary we decided to try the Queens Head as we had not been before. First impressions were not good as, on a dark and windy night, we couldnt find the way in. The entrance lights were off and a large van was backed up almost obscuring the front...

I am torn. Part of me wants to shout about this place and tell everyone how good it is, while another part wants to keep it a secret so it's not rammed whenever we drop in. A good selection of beers, well kept, and a cracking menu from bar snacks to "I really couldn't manage another mouthful". Friendly, efficient staff...

A great little olde pub that ticks all the boxes for a romantic evening drink. Beers on tap are great, unfortunately no non-alcholic beers for Drivers when we went and the selection of titbits was not up to standard. However the location and food are excellent.

We have passed through the charming village of Finghall on many occasions without ever calling in to The Queen's Head. That was a mistake we do not intend to repeat! Our first visit a few days ago exceeded all expectations: a very warm welcome from behind the bar, 2 roaring open fires, & a cosy bar area with a very...
