We stayed here three nights in an overwater bungalow and enjoyed it very much. We were able to go snorkeling right off our deck, where the water was generally 4-5 ft deep. There were beautiful coral gardens with many kinds of fish. We could sun bathe on our deck in the mornings, shaded in the afternoon (we had a view looking towards the island). It was enough sun for me to get burnt the first day. It was nice that the minibar was complementary, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. There were roaming chickens and a few cats, which I liked but might not be up everyone’s alley. We went to the Polynesian buffet and show one night and though it was pricey the show was long and very good, and the buffet was delicious. There were snorkeling gear, kayaks, and paddle boards to borrow. Clientele were families and couples, with many Americans represented. Staff usually spoke English as well as French. One downside is I found the drinks at the bar to be a bit weak. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I had an OWB facing the mountains. The room was spectacular with a view that made you want to sit out on the deck and just chill each day. Beds were comfy, bathroom was large and well designed, and we loved the the glass floor. The snorkeling off our deck was great with plenty of fish to see during the day. Pool - Small but nice with a great view of the mountains. No swim up bar and service could be sparse to find someone to give you a drink but in some way I kind of liked that it was very casual. Beach - small and not as nice as I thought it would be (expectations were very high). Nice chairs and huts to stay out of the sun (honestly we did not speed a lot of time at the beach). Breakfast was as nice as I thought it would be, food was meh and had to find someone to get the omelet bar going. Canoe Breakfast - Holy crap that was awesome. Very expensive but wow. I highly recommend one morning Polynesian Dinner / Dance - The dance part was nice but the dinner sucked. Instead have a drink outside the window and watch. Service - I'd say they were slightly more friendly than a standard hotel. Overall we loved the Hilton. I could be picky about a few things, but the water, view, and bungalow are so nice that I would be fool to give this anything less than a four star review. Looking back - I would book a room that faces the sunset with mountain view. The sunsets are amazing over the water.

Hilton Moorea I do not normally write a review, but since I have been in contact with the front desk manager Barbara our experience at the Hilton has been 100% impressive. Barbara communicated with me 2 to 3 weeks prior to our trip and answered all of our questions , concerns and made reservations for us. Service was top Notch! From the moment we arrived we have felt safe with Covid restrictions. Robert at the lobby has great service, From the time we arrived, looking after our luggage, and taking us to our beautiful overwater bungalow. Robert seems to be everywhere! On top of it all! All the food here is absolutely wonderful and the drinks are fantastic. We had dinner the first night at the crêpe restaurant over the water and saw sharks and stingrays swimming around. The crepes are absolutely amazing. Service was lovely! We had breakfast delivered to us by canoe to our overwater bungalow which was a wonderful experience the staff are friendly and welcoming, I even got a ride in the canoe! We had a massage and it was far the best we have ever had! Tevira, Juliette and Genevieve (Masseuses) We had such a lovely time, was so relaxing and we each had a glass of Rose Champagne before a massage and it was so good! We took a double kayak out and in my opinion this resort has it all! Not to big, Personal hospitality and it has been amazingly relaxing! We will be back!

We LOVED Moorea and would highly recommend visiting. It is a more casual island and the Hilton is clearly the nicest hotel on the island—but that being said if you’re a luxury traveler and expecting five stars—this isn’t it. We are pretty easy going and loved every minute of our experience in Moorea but I can see some travelers disappointed in the facilities and service. After the Hilton we went to Le Taha’a by Pearl in Taha and the comparison in luxury and service was jarring. Pros: gorgeous location, great snorkeling right from the hotel, easy access to amazing excursions, perfect blue water, good breakfast buffet (reasonably priced as Hilton Gold members but would have been far too expensive to pay out of or pocket). Easy shuttle organization to great local restaurants, nice and friendly staff. Happy hour is lovely—great place to watch the sunset. Cons: check in and check out was very chaotic. The lobby was always packed. The restaurants were extremely slow. Every lunch seemed to eat up our entire afternoon. The Polynesian show/buffet was truly awful. The performers were great but the dinner was terrible. I feel duped. It has been by far our most expensive meal in French Polynesia and definitely the worst. I would highly advise against attending this. The hotel facilities are okay. Nothing special beyond the views. There is no feeling of being catered to. You could lay by the pool/beach for hours without anyone coming to ask if you need a drink or food. The hours to use paddle boards and kayak start too late considering how early everyone wakes up there. It would be nice to use in the morning before the wind picks up. Conclusion: this is the best you’re going to get in Moorea. All in all I would recommend. It’s a great island with so much to see and do. Just temper your expectations.
