Clean. Quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a garden room with a pool... which looked completely walled in in photos but the deck is open on one side... the bushes help but it's not entirely secluded. Breakfast was delicious... tons of variety. All three dinner restaurants are nothing to write home about, but still good. The beach is nothing special but none of the beaches on Moorea are... it's more about being on the water and in the water. The location is great... very close to everything... and a superbly calm spot in the lagoon. My reason for 3 stars is this is heralded as the best on the island, a true 5 star experience. This is no St. Regis or 4 Seasons... and I don't even stay at fancy hotels like that... but I would call this a 3.5/4. You see it in random details like cheap beach chairs and few amenities, etc. Nonetheless, it still may be the best on the island. If you go, the Tiki Parc ropes course nearby was a highlight.

My wife and I had an OWB facing the mountains. The room was spectacular with a view that made you want to sit out on the deck and just chill each day. Beds were comfy, bathroom was large and well designed, and we loved the the glass floor. The snorkeling off our deck was great with plenty of fish to see during the day. Pool - Small but nice with a great view of the mountains. No swim up bar and service could be sparse to find someone to give you a drink but in some way I kind of liked that it was very casual. Beach - small and not as nice as I thought it would be (expectations were very high). Nice chairs and huts to stay out of the sun (honestly we did not speed a lot of time at the beach). Breakfast was as nice as I thought it would be, food was meh and had to find someone to get the omelet bar going. Canoe Breakfast - Holy crap that was awesome. Very expensive but wow. I highly recommend one morning Polynesian Dinner / Dance - The dance part was nice but the dinner sucked. Instead have a drink outside the window and watch. Service - I'd say they were slightly more friendly than a standard hotel. Overall we loved the Hilton. I could be picky about a few things, but the water, view, and bungalow are so nice that I would be fool to give this anything less than a four star review. Looking back - I would book a room that faces the sunset with mountain view. The sunsets are amazing over the water.

I am a Hilton loyalist. I own a Hilton timeshare and am a diamond member. On my recent vacation, I stayed at 3 different Hiltons. I also asked my friends to stay at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon versus (instead of) Sofitel Moorea la Ora. The King Overwater Bungalow With Panoramic View room itself was absolutely amazing. Swimming/snorkeling just outside your bungalow in the clear, pristine blue water was epic. My friends paid up for a King Premium Overwater Bungalow With Panoramic View. A word of advice, do not pay up for this room UNLESS you are guaranteed rooms at the very end with unobstructed views. The nearby rooms that have been recategorized as such are not premium and according to the hotel manager Daniel, just marketing. In other words, false advertising. The amenities inside the room was very nice. The room was visibly clean however, when I pulled back the bedsheets and slipped in, I got a whiff of some really bad BO. It was coming from the pillows. It smelled like sweat and had been slept on. One of the pillows also had large black streaks/stains on the back of it. I called housekeeping and they sent four new pillows. The new pillows were better but still had a smell. I had to spray perfume on them to mask the odor and sleep with a towel over them. If you don’t sleep with a towel covering them, you wake up with that smell on you and have to shower again. I’ve traveled around the world and backpacked across most of Europe in my younger days. I’ve stayed at hostels, B&Bs, motels and hotels and I’ve never ever had that happen. Never. And this was the most expensive hotel I’ve ever paid for. C’est pas vrai. There were other issues. Mainly, the lack of attention to details surprised me, like gold status on my key card sleeve when checking in but diamond status when I’m paying the final bill. Front desk customer service was also terrible. They did not follow up and management avoided you and did not call you back. Not something I would expect from a five star hotel. Overall, Hilton Moorea Lagoon was the worst Hilton I’ve stayed at. There’s not much about it except the overwater bungalow and views and restaurant/bar. I purchased the room with breakfast so I can’t say much about the breakfast offering for diamond members. The other two Hiltons I stayed at acknowledged you, made you feel welcomed and valued. Aside from the free breakfast, the other two Hiltons also had much better diamond benefits such as free drinks at the bar. I give Hilton Moorea Lagoon a 5 for the property and 1 for everything else.

The Hilton was the most beautiful resort in Moorea, we loved our stay here so much. When we arrived it was paradise. The bungalows are so beautifully decorated. The food is awesome and a must do is Polynesian night m, the dancers are amazing. This was such a FUN night. The concierge desk went above and beyond to help us with all our needs for planning activities. And Heinui Hanere was our waiter every night, he made our stay at this resort so special. He such be promoted to a manager position. The quality service we received at this resort was TOP NOTCH!! And, the snorkeling was great as well, the water is so calm and clear, lots of fish. I will definitely stay here the next time in Moorea. Pacific for Less deserves all the credit for planning a fabulous vacation at this beautiful resort. I highly recommend Pacific for Less for booking your French Polynesian island vacation.

Service was horrible. They over sold the room. Everyone was waiting at the lobby for check in. Check in is at 2pm and they didn’t have the rooms available. Hotel feels very crowded everywhere. Doesn’t feel relaxing at all. The setting is beautiful but nothing more. Go stay somewhere else.

My wife and I took this trip as a "bucket list" 40th birthday trip for her. The tile of the review sums it up for the most part. The scenery, water, and weather was amazing. It's so stunning and almost foreign it truly never got old. The ocean outside of our overwater bungalow was like a tropical fish tank. We sat for ours on the lower deck watching fish. BUT (there's always a but) the food and service at the hotel was not good. Very long waits after being seated to order drinks, (delicious cocktails are hard to find btw), long waits to order dinner, long waits to receive food. We learned to order everything on the servers first visit to our table. And the food was just average when it did arrive. The highlight of the trip for us was renting a scooter and traveling the island on two wheels. This also allowed us to go to the grocery store for beer and wine.

I loved my stay here! The OWB was just amazing, I couldn't stop staring at the views for hours at a time! The water was unbelievably clear and the snorkeling right off your room was so much fun! I ate at the main restaurant and at the creperie, both were great experiences! I really couldn't fault this hotel with anything.

We absolutely loved the Hilton in Moorea, and Moorea in general! We didn’t know much about Moorea, and it ended up being our favorite island out of Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Tahaa. The views are stunning, and inland be sure to tour the island and Magic Mountain, it’s equally beautiful! The 4x4 tour from the hotel was great and we also loved seeing the pineapple farms. We stayed in a garden bungalow with pool, and didn’t feel like we missed out by not doing the overwater bungalow there. We really enjoyed the food and cocktails, and had great service on the beach. Such good tuna and poisson cru! We did an awesome off premises dive with Moorea Blue which was a highlight of the trip. Pool and beach great, staff were friendly. We loved kayaking through the lagoon, and snorkeling. Lots of nice couples and a relaxing vibe overall. Take advantage of the allowance to bring your own wine from home or duty free, or leave to the grocery store to load up for in between times.

We stayed here two nights in over water bungalows. It was simply an amazing place. Very peaceful. We had the mountain views and snorkeling was great. Water is postcard turquoise and unbelievably clear. You can see the fish by just sitting on the deck and at night you see sharks swimming around. The fresh water shower on the deck was so cool. The rooms were clean. Very cute bathroom. The floor glass looking over the water was great. The staff were very sweet and amazing. I hit corals and got scratches on my feet. The security guy showed up quickly and patiently cleaned it up and put bandages on it two days. The staff were genuinely nice and warm. We just loved them. We had dinner at the Crepe restaurant and it was amazing. Highly recommend this place and Moorea island in general.
