We stayed in the hotel which has decidedly older rooms than the cabins. The room was tiny but clean, the beds and bedding were great, the staff was wonderful, the breakfast better than the usual Icelandic fare. We slept well here.

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) who stayed in a cabin for 2 nights everything was perfect. The cabin is well equipped and the beds are very confortable. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking nearby.

clean rooms and good breakfast!. ONLY NEGATIVE POINT IS THE DIMENSION OF THE ROOMS ... SO LITTLE! The rest is very beatiful. We had some rooms in the hotel and 2 cottages and we used also the kajak. It's a good solution!

We stayed for 3 nights (4 adults) in a lovely small cabin. They were very clean and well presented. We had the ability to cook our own food on a small set of hot-plates. Alternatively we could also eat at the hotel; we did one night and the food was very good. The cabins have a hot tub and had... More

During our trip around Iceland we spend one night in a Cabin. It was clean and confortable. They offer laundry service which is very practicale. The cabin has everything needed. Small kitchen, sofa and good beds. There is also a Spa outside. Great ;) Prices are correct.

We stayed for an evening in one of the medium cabins. The cabin was wonderful, clean and well equipped with everything you could ever need. There was Kayaks and Canoes free for use on the water as well as free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff at the hotel were incredibly kind and helpful. The location is tucked away... More

Rooms are small and older style, but clean and functional. The setting near the lake is nice. Be sure to let them know if you are arriving late, as everyone who works there goes home around 10 PM and you may have trouble getting into your room if you arrive after this. There is a number to call for after... More

Hello, We close reception around 23:00 during summer season, or when everyone has arrived. Nobody has trouble getting into their rooms or cabins, and we are always happy :) Of course we do appreciate a phone call if you foresee arriving later than 23:00. More

As a few other reviewers have remarked, the pictures of the accommodations are somewhat misleading. I was surprised to find that my booking was in a separate house, several streets over and down from the hotel and cabins. That said, our two bedroom accommodation was much bigger than expected. There was a two person bedroom and a single, and the... More

On the positive side it's clean, wifi is fast and staff is friendly. The rooms however are very small, very old furniture and the curtains do not even cover the entire windows (in Icelandic summer this is a big down side as it's virtually light 24/7). Breakfast was mediocre at best. The price was the cheapest we payed in Iceland,... More

This is an excellent stop if you want to get off the ring road into some less touristy locations. The cabin is perfectly equipped with a private spa tub overlooking the lake and free usage of the kayaks and rowboats just steps away. The town in which it is situated along with its sister town are both very charming and... More
