This hotel is in a quite location. Staff very friendly and helpful, they have a pool which I was lucky enough to have to myself. Food was excellent, good size portions. We had a superior room facing the river, which is a separate annex to the hotel, the room was lovely not that big but comfortable the only thing was it was not sound proof you could here everything that was going on at either side of us I could here the tv programme that the next room had on when I was in my bed which wasn't good.they also advertised fishing on there stretch of the river but what they don't tell you is that you still need a permit which was very disappointing. Over all it was a good stay

We had a lovely stay. The staff were attentive and pleasant to a fault! We were booked in on the basis of dinner, bed and breakfast and the food we had was excellent. Very private car park which would make it a good choice for a car club stop over.

We stayed here over the weekend as part of an offer of DBB. The hotel definitely has a quaint country charm to it and we really enjoyed our stay. The best point of the hotel is its staff who were all so lovely friendly and helpful and really made our stay. Yes it's a little outdated in areas but I feel it just adds to its charm. We did use the pool and sauna and it was fine. It's a good location too to enjoy Northumberland highlights including Hareshaw Linn (on the doorstep) and Hadrians Wall. The room was nice and clean but walls a bit thin however there wasn't excessive noise luckily. I would definitely recommend and love to stay again.

We traveled on a buy a gift voucher. this is a large country hose converted to a hotel. It has a very good restaurant. It has a small swimming pool with a suana (was working properly due to the door not closing properly) Our room had a balcony with beautiful views. Bar food is very good as well as the restaurant. Good location for walking and discovering the history of the area

After an initial blip with our reservation, which was quickly and efficiently rectified by Abigail, we had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was quite and had a lovely view over the cricket pitch down to the River Tyne. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Stayed on a Travelzoo voucher and was exceptional value for money.
