The Cynthiana Beach Hotel is favored for its idyllic setting, offering guests sweeping sea vistas and easy beach access—perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets. While the serene ambiance and diverse evening entertainment are appreciated, there's feedback suggesting some acts lack freshness. Room cleanliness and views receive applause, but noise and amenity issues have been flagged.
The staff's warmth and efficiency stand out, despite occasional service hiccups. Guests commend the overall cleanliness and range of pools, yet some express discontent over additional fees for certain amenities.

Detailed Reviews
When booking i was wondering whether it was a good idea with the ongoing coronavirus crisis. However after the stress of getting here was over I was glad I did. The hotel is in a beautiful location with easy access to the sea and it's own little lagoon pool where there is lots of snorkling too be had. The beach bar is very well located and has a white selection of drinks (i admit it drank my way through the menu during my all inclusive stay). There are also plenty of sun loungers for people who want a more relaxing afternoon.
With the coronavirus changes have been made with staff all wearing face masks and plenty of hand sanitizer around the hotel. There is also a very noticeable increase in the amount of cleaning at the staff are doing. Other changes have been made to ensure social distancing including at the buffet which has a small but high quality selection of foods which rotates daily.
The staff make every effort to be accommodating and and I can't fault them in any way.
Rooms are recently updated very clean with the air-con in my room being much-needed. Soundproofing could be improved but unfortunately this is properly a function of the buildings age. However this did not disturb me too much.
All in all a fantastic stay quite unusual times.

Just returned from one of our favourite destinations and once again we had a great time at this this unique location where the staff are so friendly and obliging.
Comfortable rooms, good food and thorough cleanliness help to make this place unbeatable value for money for sun worshippers and island explorers alike.
Excellent local bus service to Coral Bay, Paphos and beyond for those who don't fancy hiring a car and many people just stay around the hotel grounds chilling out as there are plenty of sun loungers available.
Good snorkelling and open sea swimming with a lifeguard on duty in addition to a an on-site lagoon for the more casual bathers.
Understandably quieter this year due to the virus but we felt safer there than we do now back home!
Highly recommended holiday venue.

The Cynthiana is a brilliant hotel. My room was recently refurbished and spotlessly clean, with an amazing view particularly as the sun sets. The restaurant extends outside on to a terrace with beautiful sea views, you couldn’t ask for somewhere better to enjoy breakfast.
As well as the pool the hotel has its own little beach with sun loungers and a bar, and a sheltered lagoon to swim in which would be great for kids. The hotel was quiet during my stay for obvious reasons, and there were always plenty of loungers available.
The location is what makes this hotel extra special. It’s on a little peninsular with amazing views all around. It’s far enough from the town to be in a quiet area where you can truly relax and unwind, but close enough for you to explore the Paphos region.
The 615 bus runs from the top of the street (5 mins walk) to Kato Paphos (the downtown harbour, 20 mins journey) and to Coral Bay (two brilliant beaches, 10 mins journey). Buses run every 10/15 mins daily and the last bus back is gone midnight so it’s really easy to get around without hiring a car.
I felt really safe regarding Covid. All the hotel staff wear face masks, and guests are asked to do the same in some confined areas like in the lift. There was plenty of hand gel at every door, and all the guests were using it. I also noticed the tables and chairs in the bar and restaurant being discreetly cleaned with disinfectant when customers left which was reassuring.
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, particularly the guy at the beach bar (who makes a great Piña Colada) and the barmaid in the main bar (who always addressed guests by name which was really nice).
I wish I could have stayed for longer, and hope to come back again in the spring.

As we drove into the Kissonerga area, I had a feeling we were onto a winner. The location is stunning; set on a beautiful rocky coast with idyllic views.
The Cynthiana Beach Hotel is located right next to the sea with most rooms having beautiful sea views. Our room was spacious and clean. When you step out onto the balcony you can see and hear the waves washing against the rocks.
We went for the B&B option and we were not disappointed with the quality of the buffet breakfast. Wide selection of British and Cypriot options, with dishes being turned around every 5 or 10 mins so everything was always fresh and hot.
The hotel is well decorated and tastefully furnished, with an air of quality. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the manager regularly appeared and spoke with the customers to ask how their stay was going. A high standard of Covid compliance was always present.
We did not use the swimming pool. Why? because the hotel had it's own walk in "pool" in the sea! You can access the sea safely, with there being adequate railings and steps. Sunbeds were always available and all fitted with comfortable mattresses, with parasols. The beach bar was also close by, serving food and drink throughout the day.
Honestly, I can't rate this place highly enough and will return as soon as possible!

We stayed at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel for 12 nights, we had a great stay, a special shout out to the hotel staff who work extremely hard, always keeping public areas clean, never leaving glasses or tables with stuff on them, Aphrodite was very welcoming and worked super hard. The Animation team Djazi and Joanna worked hard and we're very welcoming too.
The restaurant was well run, food was plentiful and very tasty, presented very well and always fully replenished. Being there for 2 weeks it was a bit repetitive on week two but other than that you couldn't fault it.
Our family had 2 rooms and one had an amazing sea view the other was a garden view but overlooked parking spaces, if we came again we would make sure to book sea views, saying that there weren't any issues and it was quiet and not many cars there.
The hotels location is stunning, the natural sea pool cove makes it and we went into the sea there every day.
The rooms were clean and cleaned every day with regular sheet and towel changes.
I know you can pay for a fridge and kettle facilities in the room but having stayed in some lovely hotels in recent times with these as standard they made such a huge difference to the overall experience and these would have been a great addition here, especially as Cyprus in the Summer is hot!

Just returned from another lovely 2 weeks at Cynthiana. It is set in such a beautiful location and all the staff are so helpful and welcoming it is a real pleasure to visit. The rooms are clean, the food is tasty and varied, with a different theme every evening, COVID measures also in place, making you feel safe, with face masks available in the restaurant for those that don’t have their own, and hand sanitiser freely available throughout. Nothing is too much trouble , all staff go out of their way to make your stay a rememberable one.
We’re already planning our next visit.
Shout out to; Mr Andreas, Stavros, Aphrodite, Alex, Natasha, Tanya, Aphrodite Jnr, Valentina, Loucas, Dimitris, Elena, Natalie, Barbara, Marios, Nikos, Maria, and Irene.
Hope to see you soon.

We have just come back from a four day stay here, from the time we walked into the reception we were made to feel very welcome, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were all very smart, very pleasant and helpful, our room, bathroom and balcony were all very clean , we were booked in as B& B. We went down for a meal on our first evening, there was a large choice to pick from, very well presented and very nicely cooked, we slept very well, morning came and we went down for Breakfast, 4 different cereals, cooked breakfast, continental breakfast, fruit, yoghurt, juices, Teas, Coffees, you could want no more. The restaurant staff were all very friendly and nothing was to much bother for them. A very difficult time for businesses every where, all health and safety measures were carried out, plenty of hand sterilizer around, plastic gloves in the restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have just returned from my 4th or 5th visit to this hotel. As a single woman, finding a hotel where I feel safe, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is good enough that I don't need to go out is what I look for and exactly what I get here. I always return home feeling relaxed and refreshed and look forward to returning for my next holiday.
I have read reviews where people have said the breakfasts were warm - I haven't found that and the food IS freshly cooked but not to order. It sits under a hotplate to allow guests to help themselves to as much as they want.
The cats are lovely and never a problem. If you ignore them they walk away!
The staff, stunning views and relaxed atmosphere sell the hotel and good measures in place to maintain a safe environment during the pandemic, providing hand sanitisers, plastic gloves, face masks and signs to remind guests to wear masks around the hotel unless sitting down to eat/drink or outside.
I also noted sunbeds and pool area were sanitized thoroughly in the mornings.
Nothing is too much trouble and if you don't like something or want something in particular, the staff and management go out of their way to try to make things right.
A big shout out to Andreas, Aphrodite, Alex, Dimitri, Marios, Victoria, Ioannis, Irene and Nicos

Overall we had a relaxing, pleasant stay at this hotel. We had a room with a sea view which we paid extra for. This was worth it in our opinion otherwise the room would be overlooking the car park (ie. The garden view room). Upon arrival at the hotel we were not greeted and the receptionist didn’t want to help us or give us any information, just directed us to our room which wasn’t easy to find having not been at this hotel before and it being past midnight. It was up a bit of a hill but we didn’t mind this as it was quiet and we had a decent view from the room.
The food was average, they have different themed nights such as oriental, Italian etc., although mainly consisted of the same foods, the cakes were the same every night.
The pool area gets busy but there is a beach area that overlooks a cove where you can enjoy the sea with added safety of the enclosed area. The downside to this was one of the employees came around constantly asking if we were staying at the hotel. It is understandable that he wanted to ensure only people at the hotel were using the sun beds as they were in high demand - however it was still annoying. You have to pay extra for a fridge in your room (5 euros a day), a safe (2 euros a day), and tea/coffee making facilities (2.50 euros per person per day). All of which I think should be standard. A short walk to the bus stop can get you on a bus to coral bay or paphos town for 1.50 euros which was good. There was some entertainment on a night but it was average - mainly live music or bingo - and wasn’t on for very long.

Dear guests of the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. Thank you for choosing to spend your recent holiday with us. Unfortunately we do not have a porter after eleven at night and therefore was only the night receptionist, my personal apologies if no one was around to greet at midnight. The way the hotel is built, consists of different building connected and lots of guests are not accommodated on the main building. Regarding the beach boys asking for the room number of the guests to verify if they stay with us its an extra measure for safety and provide the best of service to our customers. As a three star hotel, we do not include in the price of the room, except some types of rooms, tea and coffee facilities or fridge. However we believe we offer value for money holidays. I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the near future. Best regards Andreas Ioannou General Manager

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. Our room was perfectly adequate and the sea view was simply spectacular.
On 4/10 nights our room wasn’t cleaned and we had to find the cleaning service to get new towels and toilet roll. The bed linen wasn’t changed for the entire stay.
The buffet breakfast was satisfactory at best.
We managed to find sunbeds on most occasions we wanted them despite people getting up before the sun to put towels out!! Don’t bother trying to find beds around the pool, the sea pool is much nicer and there is less of a rush for beds there.
The restaurant serving lunch was good. The pool bar was also a nice surprise with a great range of drinks and snacks.
The hotel was in a great location for exploring this area of Cyprus. I would definitely recommend hiring a car so you can see all of the sites at your leisure.
