We didn't know what to expect from this hotel but were pleasantly surprised. The location is great although it is close to the road this didn't worry us. We had booked the most expensive room the suite but when we got there swopped it for a double room with balcony and lake view which we preferred. There wasn't a full lake view because of the trees but it was very relaxing. The decor is unusual and basic and some would say old fashioned. There wasn't a cushion in sight, a suit of armour in the hall and animal skins on the wall. The bedrooms were very spacious but functional without any luxury. There was no fridge, no safe and no toiletries. There was a kettle but the coffee was horrid. Cleanliness was excellent. So why did we enjoy our stay so much and why would we love to go back? The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was better than we expected. The cereals, bread, cheese, ham etc for breakfast were fine, although if things like the eggs ran out they weren't replaced. Also some of the plentiful buffet was a little ethnic for our taste. The evening meal was excellent although we needed google translate at times as the staff had very little English. The ghoulash soup was outstanding. The breaded chicken and pork with chips were basic but well cooked and plentiful. This was a good job as there weren't any other places to eat locally. We had fantastic weather so the beautiful lake and beach were enjoyed. You can hire kayaks, paddle boards and pedallos very reasonably. Thank you for a lovely stay. 4 rooms for 2 nights with breakfasts, evening meals and lots of drinks came to about 400 pounds which we thought was good value.

This hotel is a little gem, set on a lakeside in the middle of nowhere. There is a sandy beach nearby with boats of all kinds for hire. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, bedrooms are huge and well set back from the (very busy) E22 road on which it is located. So why not five stars? Some might not like the sound of the trucks on the E22 and being in Poland, there is not a huge choice of places to eat nearby, although the hotel restaurant is fine. Highly recommended.
