The hotel provides a transportation service, so you book for longer (we spent threee nights). The problem arises with the meals : no menu, only à la carte. We paid 9 € for three small bay scallops (i.e. three times more expensive than in a good restaurant on the coast). As pilgrims, after a long walk, we would have liked... More

Stayed here for three nights whilst doing the Northern Camino. From the moment we were picked up at nearby town we were made feel welcome. In beautiful rural setting. Accommodation was excellent and a perfect place to recharge after a days walking. Fabulous restaurant on site and recommendations from the Padrone were excellent. Loved the King Prawns, stuffed peppers, Iberian... More

We stayed at Biterra casa Rural for 3 nights during our Camino walk to Santiago. The place has been renovated to very high standards and the service was outstanding and personal. The food was also exceptional. We loved the place and it was fantastic to finish our daily walks at this hotel. It is a fabulous place and I cannot... More

My son and I treked for 10 days in the north trail of the Camino and were directed to a local to Biterra . the attention provided by Mary , Xavi and their family was out of this world. They treated us like family . Will definitely comeback A major highlight of what was a vacation for the ages

I had seen the website and decided to stop there, as the only accommodation in Miraz was in the pilgrims' hostel-- while it is one of the best on the Camino del Norte, I am not keen on dormitory accommodation. I called from the village, and they came to get me. The patron is very ebullient and cheerful, and the... More

This place was an old school that was rebuilt and modernized stone by stone! The over 200 year old buildings have spacious rooms and very comfortable. This family run hotel is more than a business, it's like being with friends or a favorite relative. The food is superior and very ample. The welcome is warm, gracious, and kind. The decor... More

A family owned business, all of whom work very hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. Everything about it is professional, yet personal, from transport if required, to accommodation and food. The hotel has been exceptionally well converted from a large traditional stone built home. It is a totally modern conversion that incorporates and respects the architecture and structure... More

If you find yourself in Galicia (Lugo area) and want to experience a wonderful hotel in the country with a wonderful chef, this is it! My husband and I were walking the Camino de Santiago and wanted to stay in a "Casa Rural" along the way. The property is set on 5 acres with old oak tress, rolling hills with... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Familiar with the best deal possible, we wait in the vicinity of North Camino de Santiago, you're resting on your pilgrimage, or a quiet environment in which breathe peace, this is your place in the middle of Terras Biosphere Reserve do Minho. Inaugurated in July 2008. This is a typical Galician architecture house about two hundred years ago, we renovated with great care and determination to maintain its rustic essence, but given modern small strokes, personal, ... bi-style terra. There are 9 double rooms, all with private bathrooms. The two have special whirlpool and large special is a small area like a living room. Furthermore, common areas have two lounges (one with fireplace) and a reading area. In other structure attached is the restaurant with bar and two dining rooms (smoking and non smoking), Galician and Basque cuisine. All this located on a farm of 8,000 m2 which breathes peace, not what we say, but people who come to know. You can hear the flutter of the birds as they move in flocks. Must be seen. ... more   less
