We visited Zen Garden Resort as visitors from UK, the resort was beautiful and looked just like the photos. The staff were all friendly and helpful, spoke English. The chalet accommodation was clean and comfortable with a modern finish. Beautiful location set in the gardens with a walk across the lawn to the pool and short walk to the restaurant. The pool area was AMAZING, so beautiful and relaxing. The restaurant offered tasty and a wide selection of food each night for dinner and the breakfast had a selection of hot and cold food options. Lovely setting with tables inside and outside. There were bikes to hire and stand up paddle boards and kayaks to use, Lake Balaton was located at the bottom of the resort with a jetty to go swimming/ use water equipment from. We had a great stay here and would recommend this resort!…

We stayed at the resort for four nights this month. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and professional and a credit to the resort. The grounds are well maintained as was the housing unit we stayed in, a two story A frame. The restaurant, and the only place to eat on site is terrible. The stairs leading to the restaurant are damaged and unsafe, with no attempt to repair while we were there. The breakfast buffet (included in the reservation) was the best meal of the day, and varied somewhat. The lunch menu selection, is not included, and which is terrible is the same each and everyday. There are two soups, one starter, six non vegetarian selections and five different pizzas’ as well as only two desserts. The dinner buffet (also included) lacked quality, variety and presentation. The drink menu was three or more pages long and had a wide variety of drinks to purchase. They did not offer water to drink. We ordered “still” water in a .07 carafe. It came in a chilled bottle, similar to what other restaurants offer for free, though they charged 4.24 Euro for each unsealed bottle that filled three small drinking glasses. It looked and tasted like it was tap water, though they claimed it was “filtered” water. Seven of our party of eight stayed there last year and stated that the food selection and quality had declined significantly and as a result will not return next year. …

This is our third time here and each year we are highly satisfied with everything. We love that it is a quiet place with not so many people, we love the natural pool and the food is also very good. We hope we will be able to return next year as well. There are many possibilities to do within the resort, e.g you can rent a sup, kayak, electronic boat, etc.

We stayed at the large house for 4 days. Total of 6 of us. The gardens are beautiful and well kept around the pool/lake area. The comp sauna in the evening by the pool was excellent and the sauna master was amazing. The team at front gate reception were hospitable. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable and the bedding linen was very clean. The nature around the resort speaks to you. The house felt occupied and the bedrooms are very small. Cleanliness of the house was average. Rooms not serviced during the stay. Not enough toilet paper for 6 persons. Not enough pool towels. Outdoor furniture was full of dead insects. Light fitting in bedroom broken. Two remotes for 4 AC units. Very annoying during the night. No dish clothes in kitchenette. Stained green sofa. Morning breakfast pleasant. The scrambled eggs and coffee were very good. Breakfast service was top notch and very attentive. Thankyou! Dinner had a limited menu. Soups were always amazing especially the Asian soup. The tuna tarter was a surprise. Buffet was not well light and the food area was dull. Use phone torch to see food. Service at dinner was average > the team lacks smiles. We booked a particular table for dinner before the restaurant opened. We arrived on time for dinner and the table was given to other guests. Why? They ran out of reserved table signs. Sad! The bar at the lake/pool never opened and we were always told that it will open tomorrow. We had to bring our own beers from Aldi! Burned down hut/house on the property grounds by the Balaton lake was a poor sight and dangerous for kids. Ping pong tables with NO bats avd balls. Fussball table with NO fuss balls. Sports area is dark after sunset. Volley ball needs change. Basketball net needs change. Too many bees but that must be a seasonal case. Lake pool access is difficult as no ladders are installed to get inside the pool and to exit. Value for money > not really.…

A hely környezete nagyon szép, azonban a szolgáltatás színvonala rendkívül alacsony. A faházak egy táborra emlékeztetnek. A 6 fős faház emeleti szobája egy lyuk. A személyzet kedves, de teljesen képzetlen, takarítás nincs (csak felár mellett) Törölközőt nem cserélik, wc papírt nem töltik újra . Az italok és a középszerű ételek túlárazottak. A szállás csak félpanzióval foglalható, ami viszont értékelhetetlen. Kettő éves kortól teljes árat számítanak fel a gyerekekért. Választék a svédasztalnál nagyon kevés, és este 8-ra még az is elfogy. Fél órát kell várni, hogy a svédasztalt újratöltsék. A hely nem akadálymentesített, az étterem lépcsőjén a babakocsit egyedül kell cipelni, a személyzetnek eszébe se jut segíteni. A kiszolgálás az étteremben akadozik és értékelhetetlen. A szaunát csak este 6-tól este 7-ig lehet ingyen használni, ezen egy órás idősávon kívül a szauna használatért is fizetni kell. A hely egyetlen medencéjének a vize hideg, a medence bárja csak 12.00-18.00 óráig van nyitva. A helyről a benyomás egyértelműen az, hogy rendkívül túlárazott, és teljes mértékben arra épít, hogy lehúzzák a vendégeket. The environment of the place is very nice, however, the standard of service is extremely low. The wooden houses are reminiscent of a camp. The upstairs room in the chalet for 6 people is a hole. The staff is nice but completely untrained, no cleaning (only at extra cost) Towels are not changed, toilet paper is not refilled. Drinks and food are overpriced. Accommodation can only be booked with half board, which is invaluable. From the age of two, a full price will be charged for children. There is very little choice at the buffet and it even runs out by 8pm. You have to wait half an hour to refill the buffet. The place is not accessible, the stroller has to be carried alone on the stairs of the restaurant, the staff does not even offer to help. The service in the restaurant is stagnant and invaluable. The sauna can only be used free of charge from 6 pm to 7 pm, in addition to this one-hour time zone, there is a charge for using the sauna. The water of the only pool in the place is cold, the pool bar is only open from 12:00 to 18:00. The impression from the place is clearly that it is extremely overpriced and relies entirely on pulling guests down.…

We were staying in this place 24 hours during our Balaton bicycle trip. Very beautiful houses, excellent food with reasonable price, good sauna program. We will surely come again and stay a bit longer. Thanks

Hatalmas park, nagy medence, saját vízpart, segítőkész személyzet. Minden olyan mint a fényképeken. A félpanziót nem ajánlom.// Huge park, big pool, private beach, helpful staff. Everything as in the photos. I wouldn't recommend the half board.

We were 6 and had a great time! Starting with an electrocar bringing us from the reception to our house, a little introduction, show around, welcome drink until the end of our stay we enjoyed it all. Not sure if we were lucky to get there right after they opened, or they're always like this, but everything was pretty nice. All the facilities are brand new. Free tennis, ping pong, football, basketball, bbq equipment, sauna, etc. Service is way better than normally in Hungary. Each time something didn't work (like automatic check-in or bank card didn't go from the first run), we received the staff's apology and workaround solutions. The place is actually better than shown on the pictures. They could get more guests if showing how well the houses are equipped. We deferentially recommend this place to everyone.…
