We rented 3 units for a family gathering in July. #7205 had issues with the geothermal cooling and was hot but otherwise a lovely unit. They had not however entered our security code on the door. #6201 had a gas valve leak in the BBQ and sitting on the baloney gave me a headache. This was fixed after we complained.... More

We have been to Barona Beach 3 years in a row. We rented 2 units between my whole family this summer, and it was cool, comfortable and relaxing. The previous years we did find the climate control an issue, however the air conditioning issues have now been fixed (the resort is on a geothermal climate control system which was completely... Amazing lookout to the lake. Place is clean and dog friendly, quiet neighbourhood. They have a pool which we enjoyed very much! Management is friendly and helpful if you need anything/help. Nighttime walks are amazing, you can hear nothing but the waters. It's a place to relax and enjoy your time. Shirley

A girls trip in October this resort was perfect. Secluded but not too off the beaten path. Wineries within walking distance, amazing views of the vineyards and footsteps from lake - literally! The outdoor pool is the perfect warm temperature and hot tub is perfect ( we could even bring plastic glasses down to the pool). Enough bedrooms, bathroom and... More

Much quieter, as is everywhere else which is why we come the first week of Oct. I can imagine this could be one noisy busy place in the summer! This is our second time. Unit we rent is great, no issues there. Only negative is the outdoor hot tub. We enjoy a morning hot tub. This trip one could not... More

This has been our 3rd year back. Our first was a unit on the 2nd level facing the pool, 2nd year was a 3 bedroom ground level facing pool, ground level was much more convenient with the little ones but the unit was located over the geothermal operating system (at least that is what we were told) and the unit... We definitely enjoyed our time at our Barona condo. We had a great quite ground floor location facing an apple orchard and a nice view of Mission Hill. We also had great weather so that always helps. The Barona facility is nice, the grounds are well maintained and our 2 bdrm condo was well stocked with everything we needed. The... More

We spent a week here with family this past summer. There seems to be a big issue with climate control at this resort. The three bedroom unit we rented, which got morning sun and afternoon shade, was mostly okay. There was a freestanding air conditioner set up in the living room which we ran constantly on high to keep the... More

We travelled with my parents for what was supposed to be a wonderful and relaxing family vacation. Each of us rented a condo unit at Barona Beach. Our first impression was that the resort was beautiful. After the first night here we couldn't wait to leave. There is no properly functioning A/C and the temperatures this past week have been... Can't use the beach because it has been taken over by geese and their droppings. Pool is ok, but very busy and not enough umbrellas for hot days. Units look nice, but finishes are cheap. No A/C!! Some units seem to cool better than others, but overall the entire complex has issues with heating and cooling (spoke with several owners... More
