Nice plage to stay. Vert quiet. The menu in the restaurant could have been more child friendly - no child menu visible did that we made our own food in authentic rorbu. Boots for rental - have to bye your own fishing gear. 2 nights stay is very good.

Really expensive in relation to the service provided. Internet connection very slow and sometimes not working. No hair driers even on request: for any request the answer was always: "it's not supposed to be there". It's not acceptable for an accommodation so expensive. I confirm the place and rorbuer are nice and romantic but far from the other interesting parts... More

We stayed there last week, the experience, the drive to reach the rorbeur, everything was fantastic. We had a superior cabin for first night which we felt was awesome, lovely view from the balcony and big living room.with recliner, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, everything was perfect. The next day we had to shift to other cabin which was smaller but was nice and cozy, IN... More

We visited the fishing village as part of a tour from a cruise ship. On the way we encountered a farmer taking a small herd of cows down the road, as a result we spent about 25 minutes travelling at 10 kph and lost most of our visiting time at teh fishing village. From what we saw, it was a... More

We wanted a rorbuer experience when planning our trip to the Lofoton Islands. Our research guided us to the Nusfjord and we were grateful to have found this uncommercial, hidden but not too remote village. The drive into the village is like a National Geographic movie with the majestic black mountains as a backdrop for the myriad crystal gushing waterfalls... More

I stayed with two friends at Nusfjord for three days. The drive from the main highway to our rorbu took about 10 minutes and was beautiful. Our rorbu (fisherman's hut) was roomy and very comfortable. We didn't, however, realize that the loft required climbing a steep ladder and that to cross from one side of the loft to the other... More

Don't worry about dinner when in Nusfjord. Landing the big cod, the pollack and the Atlantic mackerel is a walk in the park, and fun for kids and adults. Bring warm clothes for the boat trip - and remember salt and butter. The cabins have what you need to prepare the meal.

We booked a rorbu for two people and were told it had a double bed. It was in fact a bed and a half (120 cm) in a very small room: one of us end up sleeping on the couch, in the living room, which was huge in comparison. Kitchen in a bad shape and very poorly equipped. The view... More

We stayed at Nusfjord Rorbuer two nights. In one of the oldest rorbuer in Nusfjord. They are upgraded compared to what they used to be like when used during the seasonal cod (skrei) fisheries of Lofoten. The whole point about the place is to provide a real experience based on the true traditions of Lofoten. It can't be any better... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Experience an authentic fishing village (fiskevaer). In Nusfjord you can find most of the buildings which were part of one of Norway's eading fish buying stations of its time. Nusfjord has an intertwining building area, which evolved at the end of the 19th-Century and the beginning of the 20th-Century. Today we offer traditional rorbu cabins for lodging in authentic surroundings. The cabins have varying standards. CATEGORY A 1-2 bedrooms + living room with balcony bedroom (4 bed spaces). Fully equipped kitchen, shower and toilet. Duvet, pillows, bed linen and final cleaning included. CATEGORY A+ Brand new cabins (finished built spring 2007) with 2 bedrooms, living room with half lofts. Total capacity: 8 persons. CATEGORY B Sitting room with balcony bedroom (4 bed spaces). Fully equipped kitchen, shower and toilet. Duvet, pillows, bed linen and final cleaning included. CATEGORY C (Simple standard) Sitting room with balcony bedroom (4 bed spaces). Equipped kitchen. Short distance to shared shower and toilet facilities. No indoor water. Duvet, pillows, bed linen and final cleaning included. Nusfjord has its own general store, a cosy inn and a restaurant. Rent of a cottage includes a rowboat, with which you can bring in your own catch. Then, at the cleaning benches on the wharf is the place to be to exchange fishing yarns. To get there you leave the main Federal Highway 10, halfway between Napp and Ramberg. Then, for the next 6 kilometres the county road winds through a beautiful and dramatic landscape. Make your Lofoten visit with us and we will assure you that it will be a memory of a lifetime. Welcome! ... more   less
