We chose to stay over here exactly because of the way the rooms are created, they are exactly as a cabin: a lot of wood, without fancy things, just basic, but clean. The bath cabin was with mold and the bed was really hard and a little bit uncomfortable. The staff at the restaurant was ok, friendly but the owner didn't even responded to our "hello" and yes, at that moment we felt a little bit strange, but anyway it was a perfect choice for a basic stay for a winter full of snow weekend. Our kid loved the place and the surroundings. The food was more than we expected for that place. Not sure if we would come back but we didn't regret our stay there.
We had an amazing well priced lunch. They have good vegetarian options. We will come back for the restaurant only. The place needs a little more polish, but the restaurant serves great food and the service is great. Great location with great view
We have stayed 4 nights. The 4 bed room was very small. While the prices are not very low, the services are poor. After 2 nights, we had to ask who will take the trash from the room. The employees are very afraid of the owners and they seem to know nothing. Very dissapointed about the location, the staff and the confort.
A nice, cozy place in the middle of nature. An extraordinary landscape, with a fantastic view over Piatra Craiului Mountains. The room was very clean and cozy, but the food not so great. They could improve on the services.
This place is for nature and landscape lovers. If you want to see an ancestral wiew with the sun rays bleeding on the pics like a saw and black gots that flowing on the mountain like a magical levitation over all the you must come here on Plaiul foii place near Zarnesti. Good luck
Superb location, very clean & cozy room, good amenities, great host. Very nice view of the mountains. We could use the kitchen and have the breakfast there, which is another plus (if you plan to wake up early and go for a hike)
We recently spent 2 nights in 7 crai, which is located far into the park in a beautiful, quiet natural setting. We were very nicely welcomed from the friendly guardian and shown to a spotless room with a wonderful view of the tall mountains. It was an amazing view to wake up to, along with the sound of the nearby stream and birds. Even on a rainy day everything was absolutely stunning. Our hosting was great, we were very well looked after. The only small issue was noise: the main chalet was quiet but some of the guests in the neighbouring smaller lodges were partying noisily outside until 4am and the noise does travel when the doors are open. However, overall all the guests were friendly and polite and we would come back again.
Traveled to "7 Crai" in Zarnesti for a long weekend end of Jan'17. Initially it was a bit hard to catch the host by phone probably because of poor reception in the area, so insist when calling. Everything (hm... almost everything) about this place is perfect. The location: very close to "Plaiul Foii" cabin and restaurant but more secluded (3 mins walk), a bit up from the road, behind a curtain of trees. Quite remote, but not completely not to be reached by car. You can either rent a room in the big cabin, or if coming in groups a cabin of 10 and another one of 20. The accommodation: the room is simple yet welcoming decorated. The furniture was mainly "homemade" probably from the wood in the area, but this is what we found so charming. We were accommodated on the last floor (our friends on the ground one), but could still hear the crowd in the mess hall. Indeed they were very loud and not respectful of the other guest in the cabin. The room was clean, warm and the mattresses ok. The view from the room was simply amazing, waking up in the morning to that it was an amazing feeling. The cabin and host: the administrator lives in a small cabin just on premises, so when checking in you might very well find him there or around. On ground floor you have a mess hall with plenty of tables, tv, fire place, and a large kitchen that the guests can use (incl appliances, plates, etc). Unluckily , we found ourselves staying with a bigger group that took over the kitchen and around, being very noisy, and at some point eating some of our food mistakenly thinking it is theirs :|. But apart from this inconvenience, everything was perfect. You can take many hikes starting from here, because and I hope it wil stay like this for a little while longer, people don't crowd as on Prahova Valley. And the prices are excellent for what you get in turn. If you are lucky, you will get to see foxes coming around in the evening and trying to hunt directly from your barbecue ;-) -- don't worry they aren't aggressive, they are actually timid good for them, and would settle even for bread if you can spare some. As said the administrator is very helpful, and nice. We were left w/o food and he didn't hesitate for a moment sharing his. This was our 2nd time in the area, and plan to be forever returning.…
