Awesome place! Home away from home close to all facilities you would need for a stay in New Hazelton. Steps away from a grocery store, a restaurant across the parking lot and a bakery and laundromat across the street. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay with... More

I was a little hesitant when I pulled in, as there seemed to be a "gathering" in the parking lot, so I was thinking that it may be party central at the Bulkley Valley. However, by 11pm it was very quiet, and I had a good night sleep. A bit dated, but spotlessly clean and rooms have A/C. Stayed for... More

It is close to all amenities, across the parking lot is a restaurant and a couple steps away is a grocery store. The rooms are clean and quiet but the atmosphere is like visiting your close friends. The owners Howard and Lian are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. I would highly recommend a... More

Very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Stay for one night traveling through to Alaska with small children. Walking distance to the school where there was a playground for the kids to release some energy .

Accommodations are pretty limited in New Hazleton but the Bulkley Valley Motel is surprisingly good. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the rooms are somewhat dated although the bathroom had been recently updated and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a kitchen unit with a full fridge and stove. The utensils were somewhat limited but there were... More

We had planned to stay in Smithers, but phoned ahead and found every room in town was booked. Yikes. We happened to be passing the Bulkley Valley Motel just then, and decided to stop. The owner and her husband were pleasant, the rate was about what we've come to expect (expensive compared to Vancouver hotels, but it's a different playing... More

Good-sized room with a large desk, wifi, coffeemaker, fridge, tub. We had the end room on the first floor. There are supposed to be 4 places to eat all within walking distance...appeared that on a Monday, on the BC Eagle (right next door, Chinese food) was open.

Stayed here for one night on way to Prince Rupert, and spent a day visiting the area. The motel is older and the outside stairs and walkways definitely need some upgrading but the rooms are updated, clean and cozy. The owner is most friendly and accommodating. The motel is central to many interesting places, historic, first nations, and outdoor recreation... More

I'm giving this top ratings not because it's a four-star hotel, but because the owner does everything he can to make your stay a good one. The room is clean and comfortable; the furniture seems new. I needed ice but they don't have an ice machine, so the owner went next door and bought a bag of ice! He's also... More
