We had a 4-night break in October. Accommodation great, food excellent and company in the evenings most enjoyable. Staff couldn't have been more helpful to all the guests. Often guided walking is on offer, or other courses, but we were in the low season and we made our own arrangements for activities. There was a lovely indoor swimming pool with... More

This hotel is situated overlooking the loch and has stunning views. From the minute you walk through the front door, you are treated as one of the family. A lovely roaring fire in the reception room. The rooms are very comfortable and all en suite. This hotel is designed for walkers and there is a large room for putting your... More

This is a lovely old country house in a quiet rural setting. It seems to exist primarily for members of a group holiday organisation but sells spare capacity on Booking.com etc, which is how we found it. It's a bit "old fashioned" , but that didn't worry us at all. We enjoyed the quiet environment and the opportunity to chill... More

The staff were very friendly, the rooms spacious clean and well equipped, WiFi is slow, but exists (which is after all, a small miracle I Northern Scotland) Breakfast is ample and quick. we didn't use the pool or Jacuuzi, but they are there, which is very nice.

Stayed at this hotel via HF holidays and was a perfect base for all the organised walks. Service and food was excellent, fantastic location overlooking the Loch.. When I got back home I had left my toiletry bag at the hotel however Andrew the owner sent it back in the post within 48 hours with no hassle whatsoever. Would definitely stay... More

This was probably a beautiful place with many great original features. However, the last time the rooms were updated were probably in the '80s and the furniture is probably from the '60s. Don't be confused, it's old, not antique. The pool is good size but not good for relaxing. It is very good as a base for walking and the... More

Stayed here for a week with hf holidays. Andrew and Bridget know what they're doing, they run this hotel very efficiently, their staff all seem happy in their work, and Ian is a very friendly barman come waiter. Food was very good and there was plenty of it. Our room was very clean with a lovely bathroom and a fantastic... More

Despite very last minute booking and quite late arrival to the hotel, everything was perfectly ready for me to enjoy and relax. Andrews, manager and his great team, form the first minute in the hotel made me feel very welcome. I had a very short but enjoyable experience and will be definitely back. The hotel has a great location, close... More
