We’ve had an incredible holiday! Demetri was a fabulous host and was always available for questions or recommendations during our stay! The rooms were very clean and Nina made sure everything was in order. No complaints from the UK couple!

Unfortunately Castello Studios doesn’t live up to their advertisement. It should be family friendly with direct access to the beach, but is not. The beach is filled with sunbeds and looks nothing like the pictures you see on the website. And as a guest you even have to pay to use the sunbeds. We had diffuculty finding a spot in the sand for our four year old to play. A great place for people who enjoys loud music from the beach bar next door, I guess, but definitely not people who come to relax and enjoy the authenticity of greece.

Castello was once a place of tranquillity and hospitality, a small paradise with direct access to one of the best beaches in Greece with a quiet little garden where you would regularly meet and converse with the former owner and other guests. This year everything has changed. A new owner has set out to turn the place into a superficial beach bar for the young and rich. While the former owner was personally attached to the place, the new one owns a chain of hotels and is entirely focused on squeezing out as much profit as possible. Now covered with four-five rows of beds and umbrellas, there is no longer direct access to the beach because there is simply no single inch of sand available that does not cost a small fortune compared to elsewhere. For the ground floor rooms, the sea view has been replaced by a view of a sea of umbrellas. The quiet garden has been turned into a bar for one-day customers at the beach club next door, with whom the new owner is clearly cooperating. While the beach club next door was also a problem for the former owner, he managed to restrict loud parties to only a couple of nights a month. This year, loud electronic music blasts for hours each day and several days of the week well into the night and early morning, making it impossible to concentrate on anything and sleep. But the new owner doesn’t care because he is interested in the profits from the young and rich one-day customers coming to party on the beach in front of the once quiet garden. Castello is no longer a place for ordinary people and families travelling to get a taste of Greece. The taverna next door, a small family business, is clearly pressed by how the beach club and the new owner of Castello are trying to turn Agia Anna into a noisy partying hot spot. We travelled in July 2022 with our two small kids to Castello, believing things were as they used to be. A perfect place for a small family. The website still had pictures of the quiet garden with direct access to the beach without beds and umbrellas. We were given no information about the extensive changes that had taken place. Our stay became a nightmare with several sleepless nights due to the deafening music every day and many nights making it impossible to enjoy our holiday. The kids had nowhere to play at the beach, and we had to pay for the overpriced beds and umbrellas. When we confronted the owner and his manager and explained that we felt their advertising had misled us, they became extremely hostile and rude, childishly accusing us instead of having dirtied some towels. So, here’s a warning to anyone considering staying at Castello, especially families with kids. It is ruined! We recommend finding a place further down the Plaka beach or further down the coast like Mikri Vigla.

Castello was a haven of tranquility - was. New owners have transformed it into a nightmare if you are a family. There isn’t any room for the children to play on the beach because they have placed sun beds everywhere. All the other bars in Agia Anna have 3 rows of them but Castello have 4 - 5 if you include the soft chairs. And that not even the worst part. The old owner - bless his soul - did what he could do to control the next door Santana Club. The new younger managers invited their friends to sit under the sunshade and they seems to enjoy the party. And what a party. Upbeat Tekno-style music plays constantly for the whole Bech to hear. Not only in the afternoon “Happy Hour” but during the day and many nights until late. An Danish girl that I spoke to on the terras, told me that she had been coming to Castello many times as a child , and that she startet to cry when she saw what it has turned into. Stay away.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights and had the most wonderful experience. Nina, the host, is absolutely amazing! She was there to help with anything and was always super friendly. The hotel is right on the beach with balconies facing the beach. We slept with the balcony doors open and fell asleep and woke up with the most soothing sound of the waves everyday. There is also a little patio at the hotel where we watched sunset with a bottle of wine (when we didn’t watch from our balcony). The rooms are good size and clean.

Castillos is a little gem in Agia Anna in Naxos. The hosts are very friendly with Nina being there for you when you need her! Even just sitting in the room with the window open and hearing the sound of the waves is so calming and serene. They're situated on the actual beach with a patio. They recommended sleeping with the window open (and the window mosquito net closed) so you could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the sea. Absolutely beautiful experience. The room was good in size and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a ceiling fan and air conditioner, but we only used the ceiling fan as it wasn't too hot (even though we were in mid July). There's also an EXCELLENT restaurant right next door (to the left when facing the sea) that does breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only downside was the bar to the right of the property which played music on high volume in the weekend. Hopefully we'll be back again soon!

The hotel is not too far away from the port. We took a bus from the port to the hotel which is easily located. I really loved this place because of it's location and the hotel is located on the beach. It is also very clean and the host Ms. Nina and Mr. Giannis is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for you to stay as the prices also affordable.

Castello Studios is brilliantly located right on the beach, it's on an interesting stretch with lots of great cafes and bars either side. We were happy that there was no restaurant at Castello Studios as it meant we could spend hours reading on the front decking area without being bothered and have our own picnic from the supermarket for lunch. The beach in front of Castello is the only part on that stretch that isn't covered in sun beds so it offers a nice break in view. The rooms were clean and Nina was a wonderful host.

We stayed for 8 wonderful nights. A lovely position right on the beach. The Costello apartments are beautifully kept family owned business. Close to shops, restaurants and step off the front courtyard straight onto a white sandy beach. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and are serviced daily by Nina who is amazing. The only down side is the music from the next door bar which got quite loud some days but apart from that a fantastic place to stay.
