The room was good and Flora the woman receptionist was very helpful, i would also like to thank the guy who helped me with the room at the first night because i had a problem with the bugs and that was really cool because i had no more problems till the rest of my stay. I stayed only 2 of the 3 nights cause i had an early departure but i will definetely try it again! Ilias Ntelopoulos
We are in our mid 60's however young at heart. Stayed the first time in a Dimitra studio apartment in 2016 for 5 nights. Went back last year and stayed for 19 nights and this year we are planning for 22 nights. We go there at the end of July into August. Being just a minute from the beach is brilliant, the bar and cafe are excellent as are the staff. Great mix of people (mostly younger) from all over and all very friendly. Best holiday destination we have been to over the years. Relaxation and restoration of the soul.
We stayed here for 4 nights, the first in a rental tent and the remaining in a bedtent. The first tent they showed us to had a dodgy zip but when we went to reception, they were more than happy to quickly move us to a better one. All the staff are so lovely, and the beach is beautiful. Supermarket and bar are both reasonably priced, although the wifi in the bar was fairly unusable due to poor signal. The site is stunning and incredibly clean and the showers are very powerful. Whilst you're in Naxos, definitely climb Mt Zeus, it was the highlight of our trip. 100% will return to Maragas beach!
The place itself is huge, massive camping area and good shade for tents. Staff are lovely and all very helpful. Has a really nice bar, very small kitchen if you plan to camp and cook your meals, heaps of toilets and showers for campers and a charging station. WiFi has to be up there with some of the worst connections I've had lately. Only reaches the bar and even there it is very unreliable. frustrating when you need to connect, even for something small and there is no connection. Charging station may have too many adapters meaning very slow charging for phones etc. There are a lot of social spaces such as the bar and dining room/charging station but atmosphere is not very social, even though there are many guests here. More of a family camp/holiday site rather than solo…
I stayed at Maragas camping for 4 nights with my tent from June 21 till 25. They picked me up from the port late in the night. The camping is very big and has a lot of shady places. The bathrooms were very clean and renovated. There were also showers outside with hot water all the day. There were also a "charge place " with tables and benches where I could charge my mobile. The bar had soft low music and there was also free WiFi . Between 24:00 and 7:00 it was very quiet and I enjoyed sleeping and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I visited also the super market and the restaurant where I had a 10% reduction. I could paid everywhere with my credit card. The beach in front is one of the best of the island and you can enjoy the sunset also. The bus stop is in the…
We've just had 3 weeks travelling around the Cyclades and this was our favourite place to stay. Very cheap, spotlessly clean, gorgeous gardens and wonderful staff. We stayed in a studio ( around 45 euro per night) which was one minute to the beach. The supermarket was 30 seconds away and many restaurants and tavernas close by. It's incredibly relaxed and not overly touristy ( we were here early in the season) would highly recommend. Thanks Petra for a wonderful stay x
We traveled to Naxos for almost a week and stayed in one of the hotel rooms offered at the Maragas hotel. The staff was awesome and very helpful, gave plenty of options on things to do and places to see. The large market store at the entrance made the stay even more pleasurable as you could get some wine or beer and relax on the beach. Not far down the beach is a great kebob and gyro place with $2eu gyros. And dont forget the gelato and waffle place as well! It is open very late!
Maragas camping was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in one of their rooms which was fantastic. Clean, modern and comfortable. Good working AC and nice balcony to sit outside. The beach is paradise, beautiful sand and crystal clear water. Stunning! Surrounding the site there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. The frequent bus to Naxos town was excellent too and meant you could explore other areas with ease. I would highly recommend and would love to return! Thank you to all the helpful staff too!
The location is fantastic, but as a camper you would have to bring everything, not a single pot to heat some water in the kitchen. Renting a tent, we didn't expect that. If you have to use the restaurant for every coffee you want to drink, you might as well rent a studio.
Maragas camp is located 5-6km from Naxos port. We stayed there for three nights. We slept in a bed tent that was close to the bathrooom and showers that always had hot water which was great. The camp is big, so a lot of people circulate there every day. Someone stole our beach towel and water from the firdge. When i told the girl that worked at the reception, she just smiled. So beware of food stealing :)
