We spent two weeks at Polemis last August. Booking was simple. Information regarding local restaurants, transport, beaches etc... were freely available. Rooms were spotless, cleaned daily and freshly laundered crisp white sheets. Location is 150m from a beautful part of Ag.Anna beach. The owners k. Irini and her daughter Christina are extremely helpful, family orientated and willing to pass on any information they can to enhance your trip to this beautiful island. Cannot wait for summer again at Polemis!
We stayed here during our island hopping holiday. It was only OK. The apartment itself was huge but the bathroom was tiny. The shower curtain enveloped you when using the toilet and we never felt comfortable in there. Our balcony was facing another balcony and had views to the dusty car park. There was constant noise (like they were moving furniture along the floor) around our apartment. I probably wouldn't be in a rush back but it wasn't the worst. It was a little more expensive than what I would consider fair. The owners were lovely though and we felt safe there.
We stayed for two weeks at this property. The apartment that we got was an upgrade of what we had reserved, at no extra charge. The owners and personnel at the property were very kind and helpful. The property is new, clean, and at a great location. One block back from the coastal main road is a plus, if you wish to have some peace and quiet during the night. The place is 2 minutes walk from the best beach in the island. Everything that you may need is a walking distance from the place, including the bus stop. It is a great value property for the $$. We rented a car to explore the island, it was fun. we strongly recommend this property for all the reasons mentioned and many more. Our thanks to the Polemis family for the good time that we had.
We arrived to find that polemis studios did not have sea views as clearly advertised in the promotional pictures. Our room was not available until the next day and we stayed in a temporary room and therefore we're unable to unpack and settle in until 12 pm the next day. The rooms were very outdated and the bathroom floors were full of hair from other guests. The floors were never swiped- we noticed this as after every time they "cleaned" our feet would be covered in sand and dirt after walking around in the rooms. The garden view rooms looks over a huge gravel car park with a broken down car. On our last day there somebody came into our living area and stole my very expensive sunglasses (while I was getting ready in the morning- I heard them creep around on the balcony, but didn't dare to open up my door to check!!!). This place was defiantly the worst place we stayed at in our 3 week holiday in Greece. The manger tryed to help but her English is very limited. …
