Booked through Booking.com and got room for £99. Reception was excellent. Room clean and cosy. Bathroom good and shower pressure excellent. Had a few drinks in the evening and breakfast. A bit pricy but about right for area. All the staff are polite helpful and professional. The only little issue is the 'optional' service charge which is added to your...

My wife and I were invited to celebrate a significant wedding anniversary, and fortunately we were not paying. The three course lunch was not cheap, but the third course certainly was. The selection of English cheeses were a disgrace and no reflection of our superb availability for choice and originality. We can now beat the French at their own game,...

Lucky me, I was treated to a 4 night stay at the Petersham hotel. This trip was a sentimental journey to my childhood haunts but with more luxury than I experienced back in the day. Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking a copse and some building work taking place at the next door property.Fortunately this work never...

If you want to treat someone special to a luxurious High Tea in a unique elevated setting, this is the place to come. With spectacular light-filled views of the river and meadows through the huge windows, I struggle to think of anywhere that compares. The ambience is quiet, friendly but respectful. The sandwiches are imaginative and the little cakes, quite...

The hotel looks majestic with great parking just along way from Richmond to the river. The Service was slick and smart from reception through to the restaurant . The views from the restaurant are a delight . The staff were so friendly and accommodating helping us to choose food to our liking a lovely roast chicken meal for our Sunday...

We stayed a couple of nights and had a very good dinner the first night. It was nicely served, tasted very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a different thing - staff not as good, and the second morning I ordered fresh fruit which had to be reordered twice before a bowl of rather tired melon,...

We booked a suite at The Petersham for our wedding night. We thought this would be a treat and top off our special day. We have 3 small children and the room was perfect for us (316) as it had a separate bedroom for 2 of the children and plenty of room for the cot in our bedroom. Our very...

Amazing views from restaurants over Thames. Chairs were comfortable, tablelinen was spotless. Plentiful waiters Fresh tea and green tea. Tasty sandwiches. Lots of cakes!!! Scones were scrumptious. Our only criticism would have to be that where our table was, it was like sitting in a corridor that all waiters and other diners had to take to get to the other...

Having booked a weekend away in beautiful Richmond-upon-Thames, we were beyond disappointed to experience a night without sleep which made us dress before dawn and drive home to West Sussex. Children screaming in the corridor outside out room was not good but, with no apology when we departed, we shall not be returning!

My mum booked this hotel on Christmas day as a treat for my 25th Birthday. We arrived around 3pm and was immediately told we had to pay another £12 per head for breakfast on top of the £150 we had already paid for the room. When we got to our room it was small, dark and cold. We opened the...
