It may be the best overall hotel in Weston, I say this because not only does it have a great location for the shops and seafront but it is also a good starting point for the walk around the marine lake, rocky coastline and flower laden walls to the historic Birnbeck Pier. Unlike the cosy Beachlands Hotel at the end...

Spent 3 nights at The Royal. First impression was good, receptionist was friendly and we booked in without any problems. The room was a triple and was clean, bed quite comfortable and ensuite clean. Did notice chip in bath, but put that down to the age of this Edwardian building. The evening meal was a carvery, it was enjoyable, but...

Having a short break at 'The Royal' just two nights...... BUT expectations surpassed. From warm welcome at reception, complimentary Muffins & Tea for two! (Cha-cha.) Pleasant room Sea View, large en-suite. Room 202 had been refurbished to a high standard. Only slight niggle, 200 year old Hotel, but, I would imagine floors were, that old. Creak!Crunch! Groan! All part of...

This was an excellent visit for a group of sixteen golfers playing three different courses over a long weekend. We were looked after extremely well by the staff and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was very good indeed and we were given a table alongside the main restaurant which we used for both breakfast and dinner....

I start by saying me and my husband were given a Wowcher gift for this hotel Christmas 2016, so we picked some dates and tried to book the hotel and every date we wanted which was mainly Friday and Saturday or Thursday & Friday or Saturday & Sunday but they were always booked when we wanted. So we then decided...

stayed for two nights in may. Room was good, plumbing a bit hit and miss but as its an old hotel could live with that everything else was fine. good breakfast too. We had dinner in the restaurant on one night and was a bit disappointed by the limited menu and the food was 'ok' rather than good - so...

Fabulous afternoon tea. The sandwiches were brimming with fresh meat and cheese. Some of the mixed lettuce garnish a little bit tired. Unlimited tea and coffee as well as clotted cream and jam. Nice scones and the Victoria sponge cake very nice :-) which we had boxed up to take home as we were full after the sandwiches and scones....

Stayed for a couple of nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was clean, tidy very comfortable with a sea view (bonus), the en-suite was lovely. Breakfast was wholesome and filling with a good choice of cooked options. Staff were friendly and professional, and we loved Colin the cat! Location was excellent, right by the sea front and also the...

Took my better half to the Royal for afternoon tea, amazing food and service. Well done. I supposed her with a over night stay. The room was expected to be old due to the age of the building. The floor boards squeaked and the rooms floor was lob sided in the bedroom as well as the bathroom. But its over...

I visited with my mum for afternoon and it was by far the best we have had, even better than top end hotels! It really was fabulous. But what really made our experience better, was the lady that worked on the bar and managed the cream teas. I didn't catch her name. She honestly could not have done enough for...
