My Dad who's 81 has just returned from Anchor Head. Overall he's has a good holiday. Staff were very hard working and pleasant, his room was nice, food very good. Just a couple of issues really, he said breakfast was far too late, 8.40am. He gets up at 6am, so he had a long time to wait for his breakfast,... More

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely old hotel in a room with a fantastic sea view, well worth the extra! We have stayed with Leisureplex before and this hotel was as good as the others. Very clean rooms and good food, served with a smile.😊 We have travelled previously with Alfa coach tours, but this time we booked independently.... More

The room was tired but the staff were friendly and helpful - it had a homely feel about it -not corporate and the food was wholesome and a fairly good variety. A very pleasant and relaxing break. The hotel is unfortunately in a bit of a run down area - the street is full of sad looking buildings but the... More

A pleasant hotel with stunning views over the bay. An excellent diner menu with plenty of choices. At breakfast the full English is one of the best and is still table service unlike shearings coach holidays where you even have to cook your own toast. All staff at the Anchor Head hotel are pleasant and smartly dressed. A special mention... More

We decided to head to the nearest beach from our home in Oxford and came across Weston Super Mare. Neither of us having stayed there before, we opted to travel down and then find some accommodation via the old fashioned route of checking where had vacancies (we have had experiences with pushy hotels using third party agents recently). The hotel... More

The only hotel available so we had no choice but to pay £82 for one night. The room was clean although could do with an update on the decor, looks rather dated. Friendly staff on reception. Was allocated breakfast at 8am but didnt wake up.

Overall an excellent 3 night stay. Good points. Staff (friendly and helpful). Food (good choices, quality and decent portions). Bedroom (large, clean, good bathroom). Minor negative points. Location. (Situated at far end of town, last hotel). Parking (no car park and limited room on street outside). Food service (good but not enough staff serving as can be slow). Lift (small... More

The hotel was exceptionally clean, In fact everything I saw of it was spotless the staff couldn't do enough for you. My tv didnt work so I told reception and when I got back in the afternoon there was a new one, all set up. Our waitress was a little gem, she worked so hard and served all 21 of... More

At the Anchor Head Hotel from 10th to 16th April 2016. Staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for you. Meals excellent, plenty of choice, hot and tasty . Accommodation clean and adequate. Lawrence was our coach driver/courier, informative, funny and a good driver. Only downside the Wifi is a bit weak.
