We spent a nght here on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. I had never been to Royal Deeside so this was ideal. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track. Luckily the sat nav found it after first taking us to a farm track which might be the forest access behind the hotel. The hotel is set in... More

My friend treated me for my birthday to an afternoon tea at the stunning raemoir house hotel. I thourghly enjoyed the whole experience. The service was friendly and efficient and the sandwiches scones and cakes were delicious. We then sat outside and admired the beautiful scenery as it was a glorious day.

Hi kathcollie16 I am delighted that you enjoyed your Raemoir Afternoon Tea experience and also that you managed to have it on day when it was possible to sit outside! It is a wonderful view when the weather allows, it's a pity there are not more days like it. I hope you are encouraged to return, many thanks for your... More

We attended a family celebration. We had a private dining room. The table was just beautifully set with flowers and candles. The food was amazing and so delicious. The service was first class and unobtrusive. The rooms our family had were all individual with lovely touches and we were lucky enough to been given a four poster bed. The ambiance of... More

I checked in for 1 night and wish I had stayed longer. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and was nice to sit outside with a drink and enjoy the view. My room was traditionally decorated and I slept very well. The best bit is the food. In particular my dinner was just amazing. I had steak and it... More

We had been looking forward to a gourmet romantic dinner as promised on their website and unfortunately left very disappointed. The meal started well with some tasty starters but rapidly went down hill. The amuse bouche was incredibly bland and when our main course arrived both were stone cold!! The whole experience lacked any attentiveness from the serving staff, who... More

Hello HotelReviews095 Thank you for posting a review of your recent experience at Raemoir. I am disappointed, and sorry, to learn that it was less than perfect and when I showed the staff your comments I was told that when asked on the night if you had been happy with everything the response was yes and I understand a gratuity... We were travelling round the Highlands and our starting point was Raemoir, well we certainly had a flying start. Raemoir is a beautiful old country house style hotel, our room was large with a four poster bed and still plenty of room for all the additional furniture which was in keeping with the era the hotel was built in. Huge... More

Having tried on 4 different occasions recently to book lunch, only to be told they couldn't accommodate us as there was a wedding on, we struck gold and were able to head here for Sunday lunch to celebrate my Mother's birthday. While the hotel is gorgeous, and in the most wonderful setting, we were all very surprised (and disappointed!) in... More

A true country house hotel in every sense. Large bedroom and comfy bed but the bathroom was dated although very clean. Some of the lounge furniture had seen better days but this added to the country house charm. Staff friendly but in short supply although they did their best to attend to everyone. Food quality at dinner was in the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Raemoir is one of Scotland's few genuine 4 star Country House Hotels. Set in 11 acres of completely secluded gardens, parkland and wood it has 18 individually appointed ensuite bedrooms, is privately owned and run, is less than 20 minutes from Aberdeen and its international airport and station and provides that personal service that is becoming harder and harder to find. Raemoir is perfectly positioned for Royal Deeside, the Cairngorm National Park and the world famous Whisky, Castle and Golf Trails including Balgownie, Murcar, Trump International and Deeside all of which are within easy reach. Warm, welcoming, discrete and indulgent, with its string of awards as testament to the service provided, it is a fabulous venue catering for relaxed dining, private parties, conference facilites, weddings and exclusive use. Our private helipad ensures we are something entirely different from the norm but the world beyond the gates is never far away... ... more   less
