Stunning view from very comfortable hotel room. Classic Scottish breakfast was delicious with tasty locally sourced meat. I would definitely hurry back to this hidden gem. Frequented by visiting walkers and locals alike it is the perfect place to watch the sun drop behind the distant mountains

Stayed here for one night to listen to a live band, our original room was not avaliable as there was a leak in the roof that they were in the process of getting sorted We were moved to a double room that was basic but had everything we needed apart from an ensuite but had a sink in the room so we could wash and do our teeth, our bathroom was right across from our room and we had sole use of the bathroom The meals were amazing value and excellent,my wife if gluten and dairy intolerant but this was no problem, expecially at breakfast, she had the biggest choice she has ever had,we have stayed in bigger chains and they don't cater for he's nearly as good as here. The staff including Craig made our stay very enjoyable and if having a night out in banchory would def stay here again, thanks

Me and my wife stayed here last week , up for her sisters funeral . The overall experience of the stay helped to lift our spirits . The staff were brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful. Recommend you eat there as the quality was a good as the generous portion size . Excellent hotel , excellent people .

Visited for two nights (frid/sat) as a treat for our wedding anniversary, bit unsure as we haven't been away since the covid restrictions. Must say this hotel was ideal for us. Felt safe with the restrictions. All meals were lovely including breakfast, rooms were clean and staff helpful. Ok if you wanted peace and quiet this is not ideal as it is a busy bar at night, but it went quiet quickly. If you want everything (meal, drinks etc) on demand then this is ideal for visiting, walking, royal deeside etc during the day and have it all on tap when you return in the evening. We will be back

Banchory is a lovely place but I will never go back because of this hotel.it was a disgrace how we were treated I strongly advise not to visit this hotel .a member of staff complained about us being noisy on the Friday night with the place being empty. The same member of staff sat at a table on satuarday night with music blaring and in the company of 10 of his friends at same table . They phoned round all bars in Banchory and told them we were trouble makers so we could not get in yet when we went back there they served us no problem . It ruined our weekend and not being out for four months due to lockdown I was so disappointed . I will never go back

Quite possibly the most unwelcoming place I have ever stayed in, the staff didn't make us feel welcome at all and we were basically told they just wanted our money. For some reason the staff found the need to tell lies about our party. Would never stay in the place again.

I loved it!!! I spent 4 nights at there in February as a solo traveller. I was made to feel comfortable and safe, which is important for a woman of a certain age. Breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed sitting in the bar drinking a wine before dinner. The only thing I would asked to be improved is the wine list! 😉 There is an intimidating flight of stairs to the entrance, but there’s access without stairs around the side which I’m certain you would be able to use if you asked! 🤓
