Hengar Manor has a great setting and a good location for exploring this part of Cornwall, we stayed in a villa, the layout was fine but it needed a lick of paint, new carpet and some general maintenance. The indoor pool was good, although it...More
Having paid almost double, for one night less than a previous brilliant lodge holiday elsewhere, I expected a lot, but got far less in comparison.
Small lodges, no driveways so a nightmare to haul your luggage to/from your vehicle/lodge. Extremely poor signal, so you end...More

We recently stayed in a park plus lodge. The lodge was a bit stinky when we arrived, smelling of stale grime / food.
The rooms are very basic with only one bedroom with an old CRT tv that didn't work.

We keep returning so it can't be that bad ! The countryside setting is outstanding .We have stayed in the villas .The beds were clean with fresh linen and all was tidy.Carpets worn and furniture dated but place was generally clean. ..but not 5 star. It is what you make it..if you love countryside and days on the beach , and exploring it will be amazing. The pros far outweigh the negatives.
Clubhouse in evening caters well for children/families re entertaining

We stayed in Cherry Villa in May and loved it. The place was clean. The kitchen fridge was small with tiny freeze compartment so if you are staying longer than a weekend don't take loads of food for fridge/freezer. We went to the club house above swimming pool on Saturday evening. They had a kids bingo and drawing competition then adult bingo and some other dance competitions to get all involved.
There was a great kids park hidden behind the tennis courts with more than your bob standard swings. The swimming pool was freezing and we couldn't stay in long. There are lots of ducks and some people were fishing in the ponds. We didn't do much else than that. The 7 of us (two families) enjoyed our stay and would go back
