Mennabroom B&B is a gorgeous, grey granite farmhouse, originally built in 1360 but with an extension added in the 1400s, right in Bodmin Moor but very accessible to both north Cornwall (think Port Isaac aka Doc Martin's village), and south Cornwall (lovely little fishing villages like Kingsand built almost on top of their sea walls, and the Lost Gardens of... My husband and I spent a couple of nights here whilst exploring Cornwall. Mennabroom is in the most beautiful setting. It's really easy to get to and well placed for lots of local attractions, but at the same time you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. It's pure escapism! Hosts, Richard and Tania, made us feel very welcome... More

Absolutely brilliant. Good food, lovely room with every thing you could possibly want provided. Lovely surroundings and very quiet. Best nights sleep ever. Plenty to do as near to tourist places, but as on the edge of Bodmin Moor also quiet and good for walks.

Everything about Mennabroom is excellent. It is in middle of Cornish countryside and not too far from the main attractions. Richard and Tania, the hosts, are fabulous, friendly and very helpful. As another reviewer said, it is possibly the best B&B in Cornwall (or the UK!)

I originally booked the Shippon for 3 nights for a much needed getaway with my family. A beautiful location, the cottage was fully equipped and clean and Richard was welcoming on our arrival.. Cream teas in the fridge were a nice touch.. Only thing I was disappointed with was the fact I had paid for 3 nights Friday to Monday.... More

We spent 4 nights at Mennabroom, we were exceptionally well looked after. This is truly a stunning B & B, beautifully clean and very well appointed. Richard and Tanya are fabulous hosts they do a grand job. You won't be disappointed, well worth the drive.

Beautiful location and buildings, great location for exploring all of Cornwall. North and south coasts within a 30 minute drive. Our room was spotless and made up every day. Breakfasts were great with a very wide choice, and hosts are lovely. Can't fault anything and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Such a lovely place to be. Quiet and ideal for a walking holiday. We had the place to ourselves (well, it was a non-half term Feb weekend) but this was ideal for my son's 21st birthday treat with his dad. Tania and Richard's hospitality is impeccable. Excellent food (thank you for the 'special' order), cosy log burner and snug beds.... More
