Lyn and William have done a fantastic job of converting the property into a beautiful, warm, extremely well-appointed guest house. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and spent time with us after breakfast explaining the major transformation of the property into the B&B as it is now. We were fascinated. Lyn made reservations and sent us to a top-notch...

I stumbled in a bit broken down from my walk on Hadrian's Wall. The first response from my hosts was "Oh my, let me put the tea on" The room was excellent, I don't know if it was by design (seeing my hobbled self) or accident but we were issued the handicapped room .. PERFECT. I had a bad day...

A wonderful hidden little gem of a place! Not only were we warmly greeted, Lyn very kindly helped us sort out our dinner reservations and taxi pick-up. The room was very large, well-appointed, and wonderfully comfortable. Would very happily stay again. Highly recommended.

This lovely place is a rather wonderful secret. From the outside there's just an old stone wall. Inside a courtyard - one side for a farm, and the other the B&B We had the large ground floor room (4' 6" double and a single). Both beds were incredibly comfortable - as was the whole room. The decor was modern -...

I had a lovely room with a small alcove for tea in a comfortable chair looking out onto the garden. On the other side of the room, the window opened to allow the chimes of the nearby church announce the time of day. If you don't have a car, you'll likely need to call a taxi to provide transportation to...

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we walked Hadrian's Wall. We stayed in the upstairs room which was very comfortable with lovely views out over the fields. Our room had a large bed as well as a single bed with a trundle so it would be great for those traveling as a family with young children....

Vallum Barn is off the Hadrians Wall path but the trip is worth the effort. The hosts were very helpful in calling us a taxi and making reservations for dinner in town. The restaurant was great and the evening was complete with an eclipse of the moon.

We spent one night in this B&B while walking the Hadrian's Wall Path. The rooms are in a lovely old converted barn. Ours was large and very nicely decorated with a big en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed tea and biscuits when we arrived. There is also a large reading room available to guests with lots of...

Lyn and her husband converted an old car barn into a great accommodation. There are only 2 rooms available, each with a double and single bed. The upstairs room has a bath, which if you have been walking Hadrians Wall Path is a nice touch. Both rooms are very comfortable, however the bed was a little soft for our liking....
